I got tricked by people so many times. So naive and blind. Then I started writing down every little thing I noticed about people, and I started noticing my intuition and observation skills became so much stronger, but it took some time. My people pleasing tendencies really ruled me. Now I can clearly see that when somebody shows red flags at the beginning I shouldn't be surprised of the bad behaviour this person will show in the future.

i’m an introvert, and if i’m not wrong, so are you. do you have any advices and tips on showing power & dominance (good kind) regardless of being an introvert and standing your ground when you’ve just grown up shy and avoiding conflicts? also because ugh people ask me so many times, especially relatives why i don’t talk a lot and all and it gets me quite embarrassed because i don’t know how to answer that. like, i’m introverted partially because i don’t wanna talk and partially because all you do is gossip and talk about irrelevant things? 🤷‍♀️ anyway have a good rest of your day alessia :))

Silence is enough. Talk when you feel like it and when necessary. When people complain about your silence they are stating their own discomfort and blaming it in you. As if you need some sort of "fixing" and you don't. Don't blame yourself for them being uncomfortable around you. So for the practical part, I'll suggest notice your sentence structure while you speak. While you speak does your sentence serve you or others ? Who is the subject of your sentences? (It should be you ) No need to heighten your voice, do not allow anyone to interrupt you when you speak and when someone interrupts either keep talking in a louder volume or put a hand on that person and tell them to let you finish. Don't let people casually touch you. If you smile alot stop. Don't smile at everyone. Be stingy with your smile. State your values and your opinions and be confident in them. Just say it and stop thinking. You find this person boring? The person is boring don't over think it. Heather this person is saying isn't making sense? It's not, ask them to explain themselves. If you don't understand, you don't understand. If you don't feel like talking to someone, you don't. Do you have to? No, unless it serves you...(work setting and office politics and such) you ghosted someone for a year? Oops does that mean you hate them? No. If you find yourself to be too considerate of other people's feelings that you're basically afraid of talking to other people, ask yourself if whatever you are saying that you think might offend other people, will it offend you? If someone was to come and tell you what you are about to say, will it offend you? How would you take it? And... straight back, it helps with articulation of speech and strengthens your voice while speaking. Hope I helped

If you’re in the dating scene, please listen to this. Especially if you are a woman. Abusers, r@pists, and dangerous people are good at disguising themselves… Because no one would love them if they show their true selves from the very beginning. If you get a weird gut feeling (like she said in the video) listen to it, please! My feelings have never been wrong about people. Once I made the mistake of ignoring it and found myself in a situation that could’ve destroyed me.

Taking sides is a risky business. Sometimes you take side and you regret it. It depends on the situations. It's not a matter of being a people pleaser it's pure common sense. To take a side you must know when and how to do it.
@S-mi5yi
@S-mi5yi 10 ай бұрын
I agree. The example that comes to mind is, when you are in a hanging out sort of stage with someone and they have a fight or something. You take their side and stand up for them... only for them to later on befriend this person or whatever and you end up looking like a moron. It's worth taking sides, but be 100% sure of the person you're risking yourself socially for. I have been effed over like this by people I considered ride or die infront of classmates, schoolmates and even professors and my fault here was getting attached easily.

3:56 An experiment that has been conducted, supports your statement. ( That some people change their perspective or point of view, once they hear that they are the only ones that behold the same opinion on something) I practically think, that the experiment was based on the hypothesis (now a proven physiological theory) Basically in the 1950s, phycologist Solomon Asch lead the subject to enter a room with a group of strangers. Unbeknownst to them, those ,,strangers“ were hired participants planted by the researcher and instructed to deliver scripted answers to assigned questions in disguise. The group were displayed one card with a drawn line in it and a second card with multiple lines. Each person was questioned to select a line on the second card that was similar to the one on the first one. At first all participants agreed on one answer but by the second and other tries the actors purposely chose the incorrect one. Meanwhile the subject, who was unaware of all this, thought they were place in a group of idiots at first, gradually started thinking the same or accepting the inaccurate answers. This is very typical, especially in the human nature. Imitation is something evolutionary, people since the stone ages did this inorder to survive.

All these things are very true! I just wanted to add about this particular type - covert narcissist. Their behavior on socials, they post no photos of themselves but something like nature photography and engage with people just to get one million likes and comments on how amazing their work is and how amazing their souls are. They talk with people in DM and manipulate them into liking and admiring them very subtly. They pretend to really care about you badly and even don't talk about themselves too much - it's all about control. But once you're in the devaluation stage, that is where all this behavior you talk about comes out. And energy is so negative, so draining. Unfortunately, at some point, I was very stupid and weak, and the person manipulated me into doing things that didn't benefit me, I ignored my intuition and all the red flags. I lost my time, energy, and money and needed quite a while to recover my mental health. Need to stay away, need to recognize it early, and cut them off.
@vestaexplores
@vestaexplores 10 ай бұрын
I believe they may have sociopathic traits too or be a full-blown sociopath, but from my personal experience with a covert narc ex-friend: everything was about her when devaluation started, she was playing a victim and making her look good and not at fault to avoid responsibility and pretended to not understand me. I can't diagnose but doesn't change the fact we need to stay away and pay attention @@BrandynAF

I think there's certain dilemma when it comes to this. if you are being hypervigilant all the time, you can't relax and simply enjoy life. but when you aren't on guard you are more likely to be manipulated and will have regrets. it's tough to decide and even harder to create a balance.. at least for me

One of my biggest struggles is separating intuition from anxiety but I heard someone once said that anxiety makes you feel bad, physical or emotionally, it just drains you. Intuition feels just right and your whole body accepts it as the truth (because it is) so it doesn't make you feel bad on a physical level. I hope this can help somebody else too! 😅

If you strongly feel that way about them,you should avoid completely say anything or cut this person off. People like that see transparency as a weakness,even if you're trying to just open a dialogue,they will use anything against you and throwing it in your face in the future. Also not anyone jealous, petty,selfish etc. is necessarily an "evil sociopath" sometimes they have their own issues but instead on working on themselves to improve,they put others down.

Hello, thank you for this great video!😊💖 After I watched this, my mind is blown🤯There are so many things about people I didn't noticed, but now they make sense and I feel like I was blindfolded😳Could you please make videos likes this? You are really good at psychology🤗

this is very well said. i feel like im being listened to because i remember the first time i met my brother's boss. My parents adored him, everyone around me liked him but there was something super off between him and my brother. years later, my brother had to leave him because the abuse was so severe he just couldn't take it anymore. i told my family from now on you should trust what i say. one other thing to mention too, when something really bad happens to you (like for instance you get diagnosed with an incurable disease or you become homeless) observe the people who said they were here "through thick and thin" and see who REALLY is there for you. the people who matter the most are the ones that stick by you through it all.

Thank you so much for this Video! I have a question; when I watch your Videos or videos telling me I'm perfect just the way I am etc. I sometimes catch myself thinking that people I don't like could be watching this and it kinda grosses me out about myself. Do you have advice?

Or words. That's something else to think about. Don't let kind words convince you they're that alone. I know. My boss practically insulted me. I was always kind of a slow learner due to my learning difficulties, and I can see now my boss thinks I'm a joke because of it. She was telling a colleague that my coworker and I would be able to take on this shift alone: "They'll be fine. [Coworker] is very smart, strategic, and a great leader, and John [hesitates] is a diligent worker with loyalty." I understood what she meant by that. But let me hear from you guys, especially those who understand seeing through someone's masks. You should be able to get what she truly meant.

You cannot use intuition to analyse anything. Intuition is something people can not use to explain anything. It’s the feeling with no reason.

I relate to you so much! I always overanalyze people (their words and body language) to the point that it's become a habit.

Hey! Love your vibe, it might be useful to do some research on neurodivergent people. I myself am neurodivergent and a lot of the things you’ve mentioned in this video may not always be someone trying to manipulate you or being a bad person. People have different ways of showing empathy and operating in the world. For example when I am trying to comfort someone, often I will offer a similar story not to take attention from them but to show that I can empathise with their pain.

I love how content creators think that I care about them and are following "them" as individuals and not for the content they are creating. True narcissists. 😆
