Finally someone ate the food with the rice and with a spoon!!!! Thank you. So many times I see people eating the rice on its own with a stupid fork. Do you shovel your snow with a pitch fork or a rake. No. You use a shovel!

Bon appétit, I'm glad you enjoyed Persian food. The interesting fact about the Persian cuisine is that the each part of Iran has its own style of cooking even in the case of a particular food. For example the one you liked; "Khoresht-e Fesenjan (Fesenjoon)" is cooked sweet or sour or even sour-sweet depend on from which part of the country you're experiencing it.

Oops, baby barberry should not be used that way with rice. In Iran, we first fry barberry with a little butter and then add a small amount of sugar to it so that its sourness does not change the taste of rice. Then add a little saffron mixed with boiling water and after pouring the rice in a bowl, pour a little barberry on it. It is very beautiful for decoration and gives a wonderful taste to rice. 🧡🇮🇷

@SeasonedTraveller4 жыл бұрын
It was cooked by the family who own the Iranian restaurant. I imagine that access to different products in different countries makes the look and taste slightly different, but I love that you can eat this in my home city, so far from Iran! Even if it's not the most traditional fesenjan, it's a wonderful introduction.
