Is that the same Wesley Rice the pecan man from Ponca City? I own a pecan orchard and most of my varieties (26 varieties) I got from Wesley. I sure wish he still was in the graft wood business. I'd like to see if he has the Zinner variety. Supposed to be a really good pecan. I'm needing to order some persimmon scions also. I was just harvesting pecans today.

Wow! Thanks for that last comment. I've been really searching to trying to figure out whether my seedling has a possibility of being self-fertile. I was told it's a seedling of a variety that's bigger than typical wild varieties and these seedlings typically but not always are self fertile. Wasn't sure if that was accurate.

I have no idea what my persimmon is but it definitely has a wonderful flavor. I think it's wild.

I didn’t think Meader persimmons were that big! I’m planting Meader throughout my orchard to help feed my poultry in the fall and winter, so this is great to see. I’ve read that Meader has a long fruit drop-September to November. Has that been your experience?
