Here in Arkansas, we have tons of the little American (I'm guessing here) persimmons. They are very sweet when ripe. They do make a bit of a pile if you have a productive tree. Great video! I sooo want to try a sapote!

Hi. Nice review and I'm glad you got to try an American persimmon. They are great. The ones you are calling chocolate are probably the persimmons called coffee cake (nishimura wase), which is similar to chocolate in that they will be non-astringent if they are pollinated and have seeds. Chocolate are more elongated - looking somewhere between a hachiya and saijo in shape.

I get JUST as excited finding seeds! Did you know that green and green tinged apples grow well in Texas? I have been starting apples for two years and have THREE TREES! I really enjoyed your video! I live north of Dallas and am trying to grow ALL the fruit I can from seed! I buy as much as will grow in this area from Tractor Supply. Thank You!

I love finding seeds in persimmons! It’s the best prize! We had an Ein Shemer apple tree for the longest time in Central Texas. It hasn’t done well after the big 2021 freeze. But it had great apples over the years.

I don't think I ever had a persimmon. I've heard of them for several years. Sorry to hear you lost your fruits due to various reasons. I like your speaking voice.have fun and success always.

I planted American persimmon seeds randomly and a couple of years later found some "mystery trees" that turned out to be persimmon. No fruit yet. I'm in SE Virginia.

Hey, what is the name of the supermarket in Boston please? (Praying it's not the one that recently closed)

Fruit imported into America is irradiated so I would be surprised if the seeds from the persimmon from Chile grew. Always a chance I suppose.

Can I get some seeds from you?

She said she got em from local stores and markets. So she doesn't have "seeds" seeds like that to be giving away, she has the ones she's saving from the fruits she's eating. Etsy is a good place to get viable seeds if you really want to grow one because if the fruit come from out of the country, they've been irradiated/sterilized, and it'll be next to impossible to get em to live past germination if they sprout at all 👌🏾
