Interesting. I purchased the SM version and it came with a hard case leather brown. I know the black case with magnetic closure was made for the 'original' version. That is wrong. I would go back to the person who sold it to you if I was you. There is massive difference between the case you show and the SM.

Great video! The only thing is, that’s not the case or the box it comes in, the reason I know is because I have the exact pair and I got a brown case that says Steve McQueen and the box also had a different design

I did some research on this and they did more then one production run and depending on the production run the box , case, and folding method changed.

@@ReviewsAboutAnything think you’re absolutely right! much more than 2 runs around atm.. Begans with 3 frame colors and 3 glass colors. The classic blue lenses were first the 56. Then came the polarized run! Was the 2P first (think the 56 lenses and the 2P pol. versions had partwise the black magnetic case,but I’m not sure…) Since around 5 years the polarized lenses are 3P! If I can ask you which pol. version have you got? Have the 96/S3 2P. Just for comparison… Thanks a lot! Great vid. by the way💪🏻

Folding glasses version would suit my needs especially as an Action,sports and wildlife photograher due to keep in my top pocket for ease of packing.

Be careful about that. This pair do not have any rubber on them to keep them on your face. So if you sweat a lot they might slide some.

Essa é a caixa do Persol 714 tradicional ! O modelo 714 do Steve Mcqueen vem em uma caixa marrom! Provavelmente o vendedor trocou a caixa por engano na hora de lhe vender o produto!

Why those 714SM have that pouch? Shouldn´t they bring the smaller/brown one?

I was told they did two different production runs with slight differences and one of them was the case.

I have had zero problems with them. I wear them often. I am careful with my sunglasses. That said they are solid built.

I noticed they made different runs of these. They are supposed to limited edition. I was told by a manger that the demand was high so they had a second run of them with a few changes. I am not sure if this is true or just but just passing it along.
