Episode 18 of Love At First Scent

Here's the blotter update:
- Hidden has turned into a mono-dimensional, 'pale wood' scent, with a yellowy, pollen-like tinge. Not overly inspiring, on paper at least.
- Grande Bellezza has thinned out considerably, compared to how it opened. An insubstantial, woody-vetivert drydown.
- Velvet Incenso has made more room for the vanillic facets, but the incense remains discernible.
- Stigmato hasn't changed a great deal: still cool spices, cedar and that metallic twist.
- 2 Man has moved into a marginally sweeter drydown; the balance between this facet and the 'snuffed candle' feel is heavenly.

Great great videos. Comme de Garsons 2 man is one of my all time fall- winter fragrances along with Gucci pour homme 1 and Narciso Rodriguez for him Edp, a beautiful musc scent!

Persolaise Perfumes I have cheated and bought a dupe from Copy cat fragrances -- I know I know but it stratches the itch and it’s good and long lasting to my common nose x

I did not know about 2 Men (CDG), let alone trying it. I will do so very soon. Thank you very much for another incense perfume recommendation. My filthy but quite elegant wearables: - Salome (Papillon); - Al Hareem, (Sultan Pasha), just a little bit; - Maai (Bogue), I find a quite incensy too (especially in the colder weather); - Yaqoot (Al Shareef Oudh). It is an oil of almost 1:1 ratio of wild Malaysian oud oil and real siberian deer grains. Yaqoot is like an incense on a bender. (Stealing the phrase in relation to Flora Psychedelica by Sarah McCartney).

I am a big fan of CdG Kyoto because of my experience with Buddhist temples. It's not the same as the incense used in southeast asia, it is definitely an incense that is further east and Asian than the usual incense notes that come off Catholic or middle eastern. It resonates with my scent memories and is relaxing, but is not the greatest performer unfortunately.

What are your opinions on Armani Prive I think it's Encens Bois supposedly to mimic his time spent in church with his grandma or was it his mother .... Anyways haven't found my favorite yet I've been looking for one that is more like a Buddhist temple in southeast Asia than a Catholic church

Persolaise Perfumes it was and remember going down to London with my then boyfriend and I bought Angel as it was newly launched and he bought the garçon and I was really envious though I loved my Angel . I then bought my own bottle and was sated .
