@@gtn800 Elden Ring is not Dark Souls. Its a souls style game but the Lore is not souls, it's a separate story. Second of all your mom is snoozer . And third, Aside from Final Fantasy 7 and Final Fantasy 9 and 10, Elden Rings lore is one of the best ever written for a video game so shut up loser

It isn’t really implied. In the movies he is incredibly apathetic. I’ve heard someone say that that was also why he was initially ignored by the first full moon shadow.

Yeah. People think Makoto is this asshole character saying “IDC” to everyone but it’s just apathy. In the movies Yukari asked him “Do you want to die?” And his response was “Is dying scary? I don’t really care”

You mentioned how in the other Persona games the MC is the one who knows the most about whats going on where in this the others start off more in the loop than you; I like it a lot, the team dynamics in P3 are a nice change of pace where you're not the one calling the shots plotwise for once, it gives a different feel to how the team bounces off each other.

There’s a theory that Makoto never reacted to the Dark Hour because he knew about it for a long time since he was a child. He probably became numb to it and thought it was normal and never cared.

I'm sure you have figured it out, and probably finished the game by now, but the easiest way to make money is to go to Tarter Sauce and just collect everything you can, and sell it at the police station. FAR more money than working any part time job, even if you only do a quick run through a few floors. However, getting the social stat bumps from the job isn't a bad thing. Just saying, if money is your main goal, sell the loot you get. :)

The bathroom used to serve an important in-game purpose, as your characters used to get tired whenever they did anything, and since YOU always had to be part of it, the bathroom would randomly refresh your tired state, letting you continue more often than otherwise. Looks like the removed that system entirely from P3R, so now it just gives you occasional hints or reminders of things you need to do.

I had a blast watching the final stream, and now I'll finally get to see the rest of your playthrough LOL. Persona 5 changed my life back in 2018, and almost immediately after I bought Persona 3 and 4 for my old PS2. THEY WERE AMAZING. P4G ended up becoming my favorite game ever actually, and I was equally hyped for a remake of 3 as I was 5! I remember crying my eyes out back on the PS2, playing 3, and now I cried all over again in Reload XD

The funny story/ rumor at my school was the school security system. The school actually turned 150 years old in my senior year and with that the place was worn out. They did have a security system installed, but it was one of those ultra sonic sensor systems like the automatic lighting so it's only supposed to go off when something the size of a person moves. Well with the place being as old as it is the rats and cockroaches moved through the halls in such large swarms it set off the security system every once and a while. My brother also told me a funny story where he was at gym class and two of the kids just decided to hit a joint right there in the weight room. When security came over to them the kids were so doped they offered the guy a joint, and he followed up by smashing the two kids' heads together. Man I wish I saw that, but I spent half my day at a technical school. Instead the biggest thing that happened there were the kids making and selling spiked brownies in the bakery class. Those were everywhere, I heard so many people talking about them and saw a few people who either had or ate one. Though I did one time see a teacher yell at the top of his longs "WHAT THE F***!!!" as there were two kids having sex under the stairwell. Classy...

Just so you know, the chests you get on the mini-boss floors are special fixed rewards that are ALWAYS worth taking, unless you've outleveled them by grinding too much. They're usually unique weapons or armor for specific characters, but can even be cosmetic items. On the plus side, if you DO skip them, they'll still be there when you go back, IF you remember to go back.

Fun fact the canon name for the P3 MC is Makoto Yuki, so close :D I play with Japanese VA and I must say Mitsuru is so accurately close to the original, tho I really prefer original actress for Yukari (Japanese I mean). Nothing wrong with the voice, but for some reason she doesn't sound so sarcastic as the Japanese counterpart.

Heh, the long pause is because the first half takes longer to say in Japanese, so there's enough room for both voiced versions to have a significant pause there... the English one gets to be longer because of the language difference. :) I normally play these games with Japanese voice and subtitles, but the English VA is quite good here too. And if you try the Japanese voice, you'll probably think they're all fine until Junpei speaks, because his voice is very different from the English version AND from the version in P3P.

Nice! I never noticed that change in footwear. It's 100% Japan though. Most homes in Japan have a small entry area called the Genkan, where you are expected to remove your outdoor shoes and put on indoor shoes or slippers, and you see the school has shoe lockers at the entrance as well. Most businesses are treated as common areas, since you can't really change shoes every time you enter or leave them on business, so I guess the dorms are that way too? I have to admit, I wouldn't really be surprised to see foot lockers at the dorm entrance (to change from outdoor to indoor shoes) AND also a change from common-area to personal area shoes for each room. I guess it's also traditional to have footwear for the toilet room as well. The whole idea stems from the Shinto belief in purification, and while most people in Japan are not religious, many of the common-sense rituals are still kept, such as changing your shoes and keeping rooms clean. A task I sadly fail to perform very often myself....

Don't forget you have recovery items you can use outside of combat! You only need a teleporter if you run out of them, or feel the need to save. Don't be like me where you hoard them and end up with 99 in a stack so picking up new ones basically throws them away! ;)

I love P3 so much especially this newer version... unlike the other PERSONA GAMES P3 is actually really dark like real dark... even the shadows are more dangerous. Also *ELIZABETH* best Velvet Room Attendant. .. Wish it's like the PORTABLE version, cause in that version you can actually choose if you want to be a *MALE* (Makoto) or *FEMALE* (Kotone).

Heh, the sad thing is, all the questions you get asked in school here are things an average 2nd year high school student in Japan should know. So if there's no direct hint given, you can assume you should have known it from a general education and slept through class that day. ;)

I know you've probably heard this, but please do yourself a favor and watch the original game's Persona awakening. It's a masterclass in tension-building and creative direction. While you're at it, watch the very first animated cutscene of the original, too-it's so much more intense than this one's. Nothing against Reload, I'm very excited to play it for the gameplay and graphics, but man, the original animated cutscenes were SO good.

Respectfully, in comparison, the First Awakening scene is rather weak. Maybe it's because P3 Original was my first, but that version is FAR superior.

Nah the early cutscenes in the remake is bit to clean compared to the original's where it's more visceral and dirty. But starting midgame the cutscene in the remake are as good as the original

@@ahmaddzafran6115 kinda true, but you could call that change in artistic direction. TImes change, audiences change as well. P3Reload seems to be way more in line with the movie/episode adaptation of Persona 3. I wouldn't call them worse than original either. They just changed the pace and the vibe. And I really like new one as well. I think that was the right choice honestly. The old one indeed is "longer", has different pacing and the tension is different. But this is more in line with the fast-paced style they actually can take thanks to the technology. They can simply show more in less time and make it look good. And well, this is a trade-off everyone has to make when remaking the original work that was appreciated back in the days.
