Just for people to keep in mind, Merciless is only easy when you have knowledge. A blind playthrough is pretty much the only chance for Merciless to be... merciless.

not that I'm complaining the way you play, but if you really like interacting with your viewers (as how stream should be) I really recommend to NOT use the Auto dialogue. this game dropping clues here and there, which might make you missed it if this keeps on happening. anyway, appreciate the balls for starting in Merciless.

I don't see the problem with using auto when I'm focused on the dialogue and if I missed something I can easily pull up the logs. I usually acknowledge chat when I have down time like running around or during a tutorial message/nothing is going on.

Comment section roast me if you disagree, but I think hard might be better than merciless for first playthough because a) merciless is not harder than hard it's just kinda different, and b) with merciless it sometimes literally impossible to capture persona's when you hit their weakness

If hard is harder than merciless, then I feel like that'd be worse for a first playthrough. Merciless still poses a challenge for me by learning the special mechanics without being as daunting. From other comments saying how much harder the hard difficulty is, I probably wouldn't be enjoying as much if I'm just getting frustrated.

@@eunibuni no that is a fair point, and I definitely support it. Just don't do what I did and never try down enemies with weaker attacks to capture personas! I realized the hard way halfway through that I barely had any compendium completion :(

Merciless is debatably less difficult than hard because of how much damage you do. So much damage I found it too tedious to recruit new persona because they died in one hit 😅 It's a very fiddly way to play with needing to use status combos or items to down enemies for negotiation, so suggesting that to a new player was kinda mean 😅

@@eunibuni I wasn't worried about difficulty, more that merciless makes you do triple damage to weaknesses, so enemies die in one hit. That makes getting negotiations for more persona more complicated is all. But if you're enjoying it that's awesome!
