I mean, it's not like the palace rulers themselves weren't victims themselves. They just took the easy way out by being oppressors part of the system. Here these Jail Kings are just rebelling against their situation using the app for revenge by stealing wishes from others for themselves. Big difference is the severity of their deeds compared to the Palace Rulers.

@@yurikuki Let's say its the same situation as Surime and Maruki in Royal. Scramble uses Royal as the basis of the narrative, the Jails having the same function as Maruki's Palace and Dark Hour and the true final Jail resembles Maruki's Eden, in which Mona noted but purposely made vague. Like how Surime thought that becoming Kasumi will help in escaping her inferiority complex and boost her ego, resulting in Maruki using his Persona powers to place a cognitive overlay. Its the same as the Jail Kings uses the EMMA to artificially inflate their ego and used them to fuel their desires rooted from trauma. However, its no different from escapism as seen in Royal, since they refused to grow from those experiences but rather take an easy way out. Also in the Lock Keeper area which displays the King's source of the desire and past is similar to Maruki's Palace as parts of Surime's sealed memories and Maruki's past displayed thought the palace exploration. The masterminds of both campaigns are cognition researchers, whom have the same end goal of escapism but different reasons/methods to execute, even connected to the new girl playable characters lost/false memories.

Only the authorities know Ren's identity and it seems like they aren't as hostile towards the Phantom Thieves and only suspect them. As for everyone else in Japan, they wouldn't know it was Ren. Ren was designed to look like an average ordinary Japanese person so he doesn't stand out. While wearing that mask, no one would be able to find out his identity.

Imo making villains in P5 (except Sae and Maruki) crybabies made totally sense because they had no sad backstories as far as we know. Alice is more like much larger version of Mementos targets rather than a "Palace owner".

Kind of hope future mainline titles follow this example. The gameplay do have the Tales of series style. I kind of imagine how cool 1-vs-1 fights come into play; new mainline protagonist (canon girl) clashes against the hooded gunslinger, a sword vs guns battle with Personas. Kind of like Ren vs Akechi in mementos in rank 8, but for a different reason in knowing how the gunslinger, later on revealed to be the transfer student being connected to the girl's lost past. Plus it took place late night without the others knowing.

I actually feel sad for Alice (she needs a good hug after the fight), and I have a past of being bullied and picked on too.. As much as tempting it is to take revenge, the best thing we can do as victims is to build a life that makes us happy. Alice was actually heading into the right path: she studied design, found a passion, worked hard and sincerely wants to be someone's light. I bet she's far more of a wonderful person than her enemies are, and far more steps ahead. However, Alice made the mistake of using her influence for vengeance -- and made victims of innocents. It just shows how something wonderful as your gifts can turn rotten if used negatively. She's not inherently evil at all, just wounded :( . As victims of bullying, you WIN through succeeding in life. Through the building of character and self-love, you'll become a light. Despite her damaged reputation, she'll most likely build a new and better one, like "No-Good-Tora" did.

To be fair, since she's an Alumni, i assume that she graduated before the year Makoto became the Student Council President, otherwise Makoto would have know her through the Student Files at Shuujin (which is on paper). Also, when Makoto became the Student Council President, Alice has been graduated and no one knows the abuse she had endured other than herself. Basically, Alice is Makoto's Senpai. Though the idea of Alice being saved before it's too late and joining the PT is an interesting one. Sadly it's too late and it's too good to be true.

Persona awakenings I think that the cast would awaken to their persona once they've come to realize where they want to go in life, or they stop being scared of the future. 5. My last idea is that if P6 is about the future then either the final boss will be the Fates or the MC'S persona will be the Fates.
