@Rose McGrath that is really gross. Idk why you would say something like that. Whether people decide to move in first or not is not your business. Personally I wouldn’t marry someone I never lived with but that’s my prerogative. That doesn’t make me any less desirable to a partner. It’s just rude to say something like that.

Can everyone stop arguing about daniel's ethnicity? He's cuban, he's a person of color, he does not consider himself, nor is he considered by the majority of the us, as white. Most cubans are spanish/native, spanish/african or spanish/afro/native mix. He's clearly mestizo and PROUD of it. It's super rude to insist he's not or that you know someone else's ethnicity or experience living it if you are not them. Latinos come with a buuuuunch of diff colors and features and they're all beautiful. And him and india make a beautiful couple!! Lots of love to you both!! (I don't think daniel is white passing but as someone who is, it irks me to NO END when people debate my ethnicity. Like, no, i am what i say i am! Dang it 😆)

I resonate so much with the working from home struggle. I've been freelance writing from home for years and it can be so hard to stay motivated. The best thing I've found is to get into a routine that mimics a normal job. Set your alarm, shower, get dressed and sit at your desk ready for the day. Then make yourself wait for regular lunch breaks etc before you take any time away from the desk. It's just about training your mind to function like it's work, because it is!

When working from home, and creating your own schedule, it’s important to create boundaries for yourself, both regarding time and even location. Choose when you work best, and try to work only within that time frame. Determine if you only want to work in one part of the house, so that when you’re not working, you create a physical boundary between work and home life. There may be some exceptions, and the flexibility of your schedule is certainly a benefit, but the exceptions should remain so and not become the rule. Make sure that whoever is in your life understands and respects the boundaries and that the boundaries are mutually beneficial. If they can help keep you accountable to the boundaries you set, that’s great! Best wishes to you both! ❤️

Girl. 🙋🏼 I hear you on the working from home! My advice is to lease an office! Find some place other than your home to actually get in your car and drive to! Even if it's 10 minutes away! The act of getting up, getting dressed, and GOING to work is so integral in keeping a consistent schedule. I feel you, when the kitchen needs cleaned I feel like I have to do it but if you're "at work" you're at work and there is no time for those distractions. I'm currently struggling with this, too. My husband and I are videographer/photographers and we are getting an office this spring because managing a business from the chaos of your home is not as productive as people would think! 😅

Sometimes it helps me to get out of my living environment to do computer work, emails, brainstorming, editing, etc. Try to find some quiet/good vibe cafes, coffee shops, libraries(!), or you can rent office space in your area! That’s helpful. It helps not feel so stir-crazy. For a fake clock-in app, use Toggl. It can keep track of your “work time” on your phone. India, I know this video is old, but if you're still struggling with time management, making yourself a work schedule might help. I am easily distracted, so when I work from home, I get nothing finished unless I commit myself to working, uninterrupted, at one thing at a time. I get up at the same time every day, no later than 7 am, as if I had a regular 9-to-5 job. Then, I do one (but only one) of my quicker house chores first thing in the morning (washing clothes, mopping the floors, unloading the dishwasher, sorting the mail, tending to my plants). That way I feel I've done some housekeeping, and I'm less tempted to walk around the house looking for unfinished tasks. Next, I work at my "real job" for 3 hours (no cleaning, no stopping to put a mask on, no shopping or banking online, no idling on YT or Social Media) then I take an hour-long break to eat something, check my phone, and plan dinner. After lunch, I dedicate 45 minutes to schedule appointments, prepare returns to go back to stores or the post office, that type of thing...and if I have time, another quick housekeeping task, like roasting coffee beans for the week or clearing my makeup vanity. Then, I go back to work for another 3 hours. I stop working a little before 5 pm, cook dinner, and the rest of the day is for all the other things I want and need to do: meal planning, hair and skin care, listening to a podcast, folding clothes, managing the social calendar, reading, watching movies, working out...One day a week, I go grocery shopping in the morning, so I work an extra hour after dinner. This is the only way I can be productive. If I don't stick to my schedule, my brain and body play games against me, and I start jumping from "work work" to giving myself a manicure, to washing the windows, to searching for tickets for a show or a vacation, back to the real work, no, I have to make a call, well, I feel like doing a little bit of yoga now, maybe I should take the car for an oil change today, oh, let me reply to these work emails--what's that? Who wants to see me? Great! Can I move these things to accommodate that? I'll have to reschedule my whole Wednesday, but that's OK. Hmmm, this coffee table really needs refinishing...do I still have a can of this nice stain in the basement? Let me go check. Yes, I think that's the stain up there. I see it, but I can't reach it. Where is the ladder? Oh, yeah, it's in the attic. I'll go get it really quick. Ring! Hello? Long time no see! Sure, I can translate that for you. No, you don't need to pay me. Oh, you need it by tomorrow? OK, I'll start that after I load the dishwasher. Oh, but first, I need to finish the report I started this morning, it's due by midnight. Well, no time to make dinner! I'll call for takeout. Darn it, now I can't sleep because I'm wired and I ate too late. Aaaaaahhhhh! It's 4 am and I'm still awake! (That's exactly how my day would go if I let my natural tendencies unchecked! My schedule is my lifesaver! Maybe you need one too!)

Just found your channel and fell in love with your personality! So I started watching a few of your videos and stumbled across this one!!! I love that you want to learn Spanish, I think it’s so great that you’re willing to learn. I myself am a hands on learner and need to DO things in order to learn them. So I thought I’d give you a tip on what you could do to learn the language! I’m currently learning Italian and I’ve been using this great app called Pimsleur. It’s a “podcast” and the lessons are about 25-28 minutes long. Long story short I listen to a lesson a day on my way to work and I have learned so much. I highly recommend you look into it...it has been a gem. It’s not free, but it won’t break the bank either. Side Note: Y’all make like the CUTEST couple!

My family is also Cuban and we feel the same way about visiting Cuba as Daniel. My dad was born there and his family experienced the hardship of the communist government firsthand, so we will not visit until it is free for all the Cubans.

Going back to living together before marriage real quick. The "phases" thing totally makes sense but also how do you know if you can stand living together when you're married if you don't try it out before hand. I feel like you can be in a great relationship with someone and then you move in together and you realize there are things that bug you, you do differently, etc. and you're able to find out whether the little things are too much or not.

Hey girl! First of all, I love you and Daniel together. You really seem to communicate on the same wavelength, listen to one another and have a deep respect for each other. It's beautiful to witness. It really seems like you make a great team. Secondly! I work from home! Well... kinda. Like you, I'm an actor, and I do it full time! I do a lot of off broadway theatre/musical theatre but I also work as a voiceover artist and submit a lot of recordings from home, plus I submit for theatre projects from home before I have to actually go into the city to record or audition/perform. The BEST thing I can do, is *lean into my routine*, mama! That means, getting up and putting real clothes on (it's WAY too easy for me to stay in pajamas all day), maybe even do my hair and makeup since I always feel like the best version of myself that way and if I have to leave the house at the drop of a hat, I'm already ready! I make my coffee and my healthy green drink (lol) and try to set a creative timeline for myself. Because it's just like you said, the lights don't go off at 8pm. Creatives have to set their own timeline otherwise we can end up all over the place! It's freeing but also, as humans we crave structure! How blessed are we that we get to have both! I admire you and love the work you do! Keep going, girl!

Italian doesn’t mean white and Cuban doesn’t mean brown and so on. Multicultural can be interracial and it can not be. If you know your families origins and the history of those places you’ll pin point race and ethnicity better. And dna tests

But yes I think if you had an office or a separate space to work in that would help! Or even going out to a coffee shop or finding a communal work space.
