meg I'm so glad you spoke about changing your diet and not judging and being nice. I was vegetarian for about 5 years and recently transitioned to pescatarian and i feel a lot of guilt about it and try not to talk about it because I'm afraid people will judge me for it 😭

When you said you're considering moving to Vermont I got so excited. It's one of my favorite places ever. I'm from Rhode Island so I go there pretty frequently and it's so beautiful. I’ve been with my boyfriend for 4.5 years and I’ve never felt the feeling of “the one”. It feels complicated, but I hear it shouldn’t. I don’t have a reason to break up with him. I go to UVM and I chose it because I adore Burlington. It has the city and the farm and nature. It’s amazing up here, I cant recommend it enough. It’s definitely a bit less diverse but it’s incredibly accepting and there is a sense of community here

You've deff got the right idea with VT, I live currently and grew up across Lake Champlain from Burlington and there is something special to the green mountains and the ADKS. Just wanted to mention some aspects to consider imo, most of vt if very rural and you'll have to drive a bit to get any where, granted it seems you may already do that! Also winter is absolutely brutal and long, the growing season and summer is very short here and can be a touch frustrating. This year it didn't get hot enough for some crops, this I believe is due to climate change but yes overall there is less affect in the state compared to others. You mentioned crime rate which generally is low but places like Rutland have a very high crime rate due to the opioid epidemic they sadly face so base it on the specific city or town your looking into. But there are so many pros I feel you already have heard so I just wanted to share my thoughts. I think you would love it in vt if in the future you make the move

Many Vermont schools are not great, unfortunately. In rural areas with low funding, the education is pretty sub par. I moved to Vermont from California as a kid and ended up skipping fourth grade because I was ahead. BUT my sibling got a permit to go to Sharon Academy, which is an excellent school (non traditional structure, no letter grading system, very supportive faculty and extra curricular programs). We had very different education experiences. I say this as someone who loves Vermont and cares deeply about it! Just something to keep in mind. :)

I taught in VT and can definitely agree with rural areas not having the best education. However, schools in Chittenden County are excellent! It mainly depends on the location (similar to many states)

Suggestion: Transfer the oil for the piggies into almost like an empty ketchup squeeze bottle, you can purchase them from a container store, and that way you can control how much comes out and you can't leave it open by mistake and you can squeeze a little all over there bodies so it's distributed better 😁 Thanks for this rocking video Megan. Having kids is definitely a two sided answer from both people in the relationship but you also have to keep in mind that it’s your body that you are changing and providing for the baby, not his. I have run into many couples where the guy is ready for children but the woman would like to wait another year or so because it is HER body that has to change and carry the child for 9 months. @@meghanhughes it’s so gorgeous, I definitely left a piece of my heart there. I remember the moment I knew I’d have to move there at some point. We were hiking through a forest filled witch gorgeous tall trees and there chipmunks everywhere the leaves were changing and it felt like the forest went on forever but then I smelled the ocean and walked through some trees to find the waves crashing into these massive rocks with a bit of a pebble beach. It was so energizing and magical I never wanted to leave that moment.
