Flying the Cirrus Vision Jet G2 for an article in Twin & Turbine magazine
Segment 4 - New Orleans to Tuscaloosa - great demonstration of auto throttle, including missed approach. Matt Bergwall, Director of the Vision Jet Product Line at Cirrus was teaching me how to use the auto throttle.

Can you tell me how the transition from the cirrus 22 to the Vision jet is?

Cirrus did a great job making the transition as easy as possible for Cirrus SR pilots. Ergos match and are similar to the SR aircraft. Davi, O Cirrus Vision G2 tem várias melhorias: aviônica, pressurização, alcance, interior, etc. O site Cirrus Aircraft descreve as melhorias cirrusaircraft.com/cirrus-aircraft-unveils-generation-2-vision-jet/ The Cirrus Vision G2 has a number of improvements: avionics, pressurization, range, interior, etc. The Cirrus Aircraft site describes the improvements.

Been flying for 39 years, instrument rated for 35 years, never been issued a hold.

Rob you are lucky! I’m issued holds about five to eight times a year. Usually it is the busiest airspace for traffic loads or into uncontrolled airports when others are on the approach and they can’t clear me until they cancel. It is always good to practice them! The more you do the easier they get, and I love teaching them.

Personal Wings Yes, I practice them with my CFII and am based in the very busy airspace of Southern California though I have had my PA32R and now my C441 all over the country in other busy environments. And at least 90% of my flying is under IFR. Not a lot of flying into uncontrolled airports though.

How close to the runway can you keep autopilot on wth the autothrottle?

Benjamin, the autothrottle height limitations are the same as the autopilot: Takeoff and Climb .................................................................400 ft AGL - Enroute and Descent...........................................................1000 ft AGL - Approach (GP or GS Mode) ...... Higher of 200 ft AGL or Approach MDA, DA, DH - Approach (IAS, VS, PIT or ALT Mode)......Higher of 400 ft AGL or Approach MDA RICH

Wow: copying a clearance on final?

We were operating as a crew, so copying the clearance was easy. It wasn't too much different from copying a missed approach clearance. In SOCAL airspace, where I fly the most, the missed approach clearances can sometimes be rather complex and they may not give it to you until on final.

Mark I'm not sure what you are looking for in the video. It is a flight in the Vision Jet that shows its capabilities and how fun it is to fly. With 32K views so far on this video, it seems to appeal to others. Good luck in your search of 'audience' videos.
