In this episode of the perspective drawing tutorial series we cover a few few techniques covering how to divide and multiply dimensions in perspective. We also cover how to construct basic shapes and forms which are the building blocks to draw anything in perspective.
Book's I recommended on this subject:
Andrew Loomis - Successful Drawing

Scott Robertson - How To Draw

honestly I felt the exact opposite way, seeing how something so complex was being made off of some well-placed cubes and a reference image for details really made this feel more possible than when I saw the initial thumbnail.

I used to think that I got everything down on what I need to draw anything that I want but seeing this video makes me feel like I'm barely scratching the surface of the things I don't know and that's what I love about ART! There's always room for learning and improvements! Thanks Dan!!!

Incredible. Perspective drawing is so cool and you break it down so easily. Very encouraging, I never could draw cars but the more I learn about perspective, the more I want to draw cars to put these shapes into practice.

I am very impressed Dan. I am new at sketching, but have worked in numerous 3-D art forms throughout my life. I assumed drawing was something I wasnt built to undertake. I read two books that confirmed my assumption of ineptitude, as the text was confounding. You have eliminated that assumption by supplying an easy understanding of concepts, and are a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for opening up a new world to me and sharing your remarkable skill. I look forward to viewing all of your tutorials.

I'm a beginner and I'm reading my how to draw book. it's really hard to digest, can you help me on this problem which is "dividing a rectangle in half in perspective" in the book it says that "make sure that the vertical and horizontal follow the perspective grid" My problem is, I didn't know what its talking about.. I mean on that particular exercise where's the grid that they want me to follow? did I missed something? I hope you can help me bro. Thank you
