Thank you for a lovely video - it made me want to pull out my fountain pens and give them a good clean, so they're ready to use again! :)

Just got my TWSBI fine pen. I want to try this. Good to know that you’re hovering rather than using a heavier pressure.

You will have fun with it, Karen! I have the fine nib, but I just ordered the extra fine! Whooo-hoo! Thanks for the introduction to these pens, Sandy!

Thankyou for another wonderfully informative video. I can't remember whether you have tried Rosemary & Co Brushes but would love your thoughts on them. I know Jackson's carries them - but they also ship directly and have fantastic customer service - my order was shipped within 24 hours. They have a huge range of brushes including one (the red dot I think) which is a synthetic but has been described as feeling very much like natural Kolinsky (they also have natural hair brushes). I always respect your opinion!

I've tried a couple Rosemary but haven't found anything I liked. I gotta win the lottery so I can try ALL the brushes....

I found the best way to paint clouds is to wet the entire sky, wait until the sheen has gone & start painting then. It creates harder edges but not super sharp edges & I use my dark colour at the bottom, then spray it or add clean water above it & tilt the page upwards. And my most amazingly realistic clouds came from using Distress Oxide Spray as a watercolour paint. I spray it onto a palette & paint with it as per normal & add the water & let it run upwards. The mix of pigment & dye ink with the way it wicks into wet pages works to create a soft round puffiness. I found Lost Shadow, Hickory Smoke, Stormy Sky & watercolours dropped in & underneath create the most realistic layered clouds. But I must admit, I didn’t use perspective & think the size & shape effect addition will make them even better. Love the wash & ink effect. I’ve never really tried that.
