Exactly, and i strongly disliked Lewis personality towards the paddock, Lewis is a very talented driver, but i never liked his personality, he always wanted to establish this image of a modest gentleman with charisma and most intelligent, "this for all the kids out there who dream the impossible", " Thanks guys to the factory", "still we rise", this cliche quotes make me cringe, it's motivational, but now he hasn't got a good car, "Omg this car iS sO sLoW", " How did we LoSe ThAT MaNy PoSiTioN", "This car is so bad". While forgetting the fact that George would qualify higher or even finished with better results than him, I'm not saying George is the better driver, and i know their driving styles differ ofc, but i would expect if Lewis would been more humble and ask for a setup reference from George maybe he would have a better results, like what Charles did with Carlos, Charles humbly said "I basically copied Carlos setup", I think that's what Lewis is lacking right now, ever since he was beaten by Nico Rosberg he has this ambitious feeling inside him to prove something, he has done it, but now he hasn't got the car he should stop being a narcissist and just realized now is though times, throw your pride away and focus on improvement, rather than making silly claims trying to downplay someone, (correct me if im wrong) even when the 2021 season got heated, Max never take a jab at Hamilton trying to downplay him, and even now.

Valtteri(as a fan of him in general) has always played second fiddle to Lewis. He was under immense pressure year after year due to his contracts, all the strategies laid out(in favor of Lewis in 90% of the time) and the fact that he was pitted against a multiple WDC driver. Lewis(and Toto respectively) cannot state that Valtteri was even a threat to Lewis during his time in Mercedes cause he was almost never given the chance to fight for the WDC. The truth is, Mercedes have lost touch with reality and they're not even hiding it anymore. They went from a dominant team(that mind you had a way worse impact on the sport than Redbull ever had with Seb(and now with Max)) to the most entitled team on the grid. If the record was done by Mercedes, Toto would be praising both the team and Lewis 24/7. They should just give respect where it's due - Redbull did their homework and it paid off. This is BS tbh. Mercedes was dominant as a whole, taking pole in the majority of races. If Lewis didn't have pole, then Bottas would. Except for some odd races out where Ferrari or Red Bull would take advantage of a mistake by Merc or where the track just suited their car better. Last season, but this season in particular, Max is dominant because he can push the car Red Bull gave him to the absolute limit, because he is just that good. Checo, in equal machinery, just can't perform on the same level as Max. That's why, Merc dominance was worse than Red Bull dominance. Besides that, the lead Red Bull has on development will disappear after 2025, since the new rules will be implemented at 2026 and we'll just have to see which team makes the best interpretation of those rules. so we'll have had a 4-year Red Bull dominance compared to a 7-year Merc dominance. Who knows, maybe we'll get a Williams or Haas dominance next.

If Hamilton thinks that Bottas is better than Max's teammate so far, then where was he in 2021?? Arguably the only worthwhile contribution Bottas made in 2021 was winning Turkish GP (with Max in 2nd place) and (more importantly) bowling Max out of contention in Hungarian GP. Did Bottas hold Max up like Checo did to Ham in Abu Dhabi? Or chase him to the chequered flag like Checo did in Mexico City? So by that logic, it's either his argument is valid and Max would've been a more comfortable champion in 2021 had he have a better teammate, or it's just another salty comment from someone who "can't drive a slow car" to paraphrase Alonso. The reason why Lewis hadn't broken more records was because he was too busy with his other distractions. That's his own fault and if he regrets it, he should retrospect in silence rather than unfairly criticizing other teams for doing the right thing. And in my opinion, Max more than deserve to win '21 championship. If Lewis hadn't attempted to turn him to corpse in Copse and Bottas hadn't bowl him practically out of race in Hungaroring turn 1, Max would've secured the championship in Saudi or Brazil.

Well said - no hate on Lewis but in 2021 he was beaten by the sheer relentless consistency of Max and Max won the title the first time he had a car capable of doing so and beat the all time great in the process. It took serious bad luck on Max's side for the title to be as close as it was (Baku, Hungary, Sliverstone*) and good fortune from Lewis (Imola, Silverstone*) and the insane performance gains from their PU those final four races for the title to go to the wire. Lewis had his moments where he was off the pace (Monaco qualifying for example) and yet Max would end up either 1st or 2nd every race he finished (minus Hungary). Take away the controversial Abu Dhabi GP and by every metric Max was the better, more consistent driver that season (laps lead, races won, qualifying head to head etc). The salt from Hamilton is obvious, he has been dethroned and Max is operating at level that even Hamilton in his peak did not achieve. Toto has his rivalry with Christian and Redbull are operating at a level beyond even what Mercedes were capable at the height of their dominance and are now redefining what is possible in this sport. We're heading towards the tail end of this season still wondering whether Max/Redbull can pull off the impossible and deliver a clean sweep and you wouldn't bet against them doing it such is their form. Toto is just bitter that it's not his team and Lewis in this position even though they had 8 years where they could have done it. Their advantage during 2014-2016 was arguably beyond that of Redbull right now as shown by the number of front row lockouts they managed. Max and Redbull are dominating the sport like no-one else before them, even Schumacher during his Ferrari dominance didn't look this unbeatable. Toto has no class

Mercedes has become the most entitled team on the grid, You really have to give props to Redbull for working and getting the rules right. Max also put in the work to be where he is now, As a Schumacher fan, Max has emulated what he did of building the team around him. He helped Redbull and made them a top team. Toto and Hamilton inherited that success from Brawn and company. Now, they're being salty seeing the things they could've done but failed to do. Common human nature I guess.

That Brawn part is a real stretch and not true at all. Brawn was an empty shell of a team that barely made it to the end of the season with the money they had. Their facilities and infrastructure were crap and Mercedes had to rebuild all of that. Theres also the matter of Mercedes didnt get a win until 2012 after buying that team. Hamilton also didnt join Mercedes until 2013, 3 seasons in to their return.
@Randomvideos-zi7pe Жыл бұрын
Brawn only had an advantage in the first half and fell in the second half of their only season. The entire conspiracy over inhertance after is just pure bullshit, toto and lewis had to make the effort to ensure mercedes got its path right again after considering to sell away the team in 2012. Brawn and micheal had nothing to do with the v6 era. Also, red bull is way more entitled, we had to deal with their bitching for 8 years in a row when merc was dominating, literally lobbying the FIA which they did admit and threatening to leave the sport if they don't get their engine freeze in the new era, who can't forget that?
@ChristopherBuenviaje Жыл бұрын
@AmsterdamHeavy Granted that Honda left them hanging, I doubt any other team principal would've made that kind of turn out though. Its not quite a stretch honestly. Brawn brought together his trusted people from Ferrari like Allison, while trying to keep old Honda personal like Shovlin from leaving. They were paying off the financial debts they incurred in the past seasons during the 1st year when Merc brought the team that clearly handicapped the car. Lauda used Hamilton as a bargaining to have a seat at the team, while Toto brought in the money to fund the team. But the team was already there the pieces where already in place and everyone knows Merc will be a huge force come the turbo hybrid rules because they were already working on it since 2007. Its in Ross' memoirs how Wolf took over the team behind his and Norbert's backs.
@ChristopherBuenviaje Жыл бұрын
@Randomvideos-zi7pe Wrong, Toto was with Williams then. Norbert Haug was Mercedes' main person during that time. Brawn, Haug were the key people who built the team and kept it going. Toto only pitched the idea to the board of Mercedes to bring the money, along with Lauda who brought in Lewis Hamilton. Team was pretty much there before they came in. What is bullshit is thinking they built the team from scratch. They didn't, they inherited that team. Look it up, Toto said that so many times.

@@EntropicExergy That's reality. Mercedes was not on par with Ferrari in Monza. What about Aston Martin? The wonderful Zandvoort Alonso vanished? Cars are 80% of a drivers performance that's how it is.
@EntropicExergy Жыл бұрын
@@soundscape26 That 20% is enough to at least score a win in the current Max era, yet that didn't happen. In the case of lulu you might want to make it 95%, because lulu has not shown anything near as good as Max has in a lesser car.

Niki Lauda on Max Verstappen: "He's just a talent that will show up every 100 years, he's just so good and I don't see any weak point on him. "Normally every racing driver has a weak point, but with Max, I don't see any. "He is so cool, relaxed and can handle the pressure better than anybody else.

If Lewis or Toto just want to make it about a car and not Max's talent then why was Lewis unable to achieve such a feat? If he can go from last to first in a GP then why was he not able to beat or at least be in such a record?

Yeah Nico is really good, Max drove by him in Brasil in the wet, in Canada and Silverstone a few years ago, remember? Nico looked like an amateur right there. haha

I was on the fence about Max but the Q3 qualifying at Monaco sealed it for me that he's the real deal, the way he drove in the Dutch Grand Prix through every condition reinforced it. Would've been nice if Seb was at Monza to see his record fall and congratulate Max personally though, I never heard anything about him being there.
@Nienke131 Жыл бұрын
I agree. I was kind of hoping they would get Seb to attend the ceremony in either Zandvoort or Monza. However he did text Max about the record, so that's nice to know.

Wildest part for me is that Lewis fans constantly bring up his stats as the number 1 argument for him being the GOAT but then toto says he doesn't care about those Stats because those aren't the ones Lewis holds.

The hundred plus race wins will soon become "pointless" because they keep adding races to the calendar. I wonder how many wins Schumacher would have if he got over twenty races a year?
@christopherberry8519 Жыл бұрын
Let's for a moment consider that this year, Max is 0.5s ahead of his team mate. Until there's data saying otherwise, I can't see another team with that split between their drivers. It seems to me that he's driving the car differently to everyone else - to the extent that it's more than style but driving it as if it is a different vehicle. This is why Ricciardo seems to be unable to drive the current batch of cars almost completely. The new generation of drivers are more adaptable and can find pace in managing the car, in pushing their opponents, in pushing for mistakes. You have to make up the time for every imperfection in your driving to hit the same lap time - so you can conclude that being consistently on the edge of perfection and managing wear and tear better for the same track time. My opinion is that Max is learning to drive every setup, every car, every style can move tyre wear from one tyre to the other for the same lap time. I think he can even charge the batteries while looking reckless double bluffing his opponents. My point is, he's doing so much more than driving the car.

Toto throws out some elementary school arguments. It might also be the case that Max makes his teammates look much worse than they actually are. You can't possibly compare Roseberg, Bottas, Perez and Riccardo cause they will never race side to side for the same team. The only teammate who works in Lewis' favor is Alonso, for now. Max still has a handful of years in his career so we will see

I do wonder what Toto would've said if it was Lewis winning 10 straight wins or any other driver and it wasn't Max. People wonder why I don't like Hamilton, this is one of the reasons. Toto I've always been neutral about, but him saying Max's 10 straights wins is just a stat on Wikipedia and that doesn't matter and no one cares, then just like Perspective said, does that mean Lewis 7 titles don't matter because it's on Wikipedia? Does that mean Michael's 7 titles don't matter because it's on Wikipedia? Does that mean Vettel's 9 wins in a row and his 4 back to back titles don't matter because it's on Wikipedia? I could go on... This just makes me appreciate Max even more with what he's achieving and everyone who dislikes him always find some sort of way to criticise him in what he's done this season (and in the sport in general so far) and downplay his achievements and it's got to people so badly, that even a driver in F1 and a team principle r trying downplay what he's achieved and that's embarrassing. Also in regards to Valterri being a title challenger to Lewis, the only time when I saw that imo was 2020 when Valtteri seemed to really showed some potential at least for the first few races, then Lewis just ran away with it. Or maybe that's just me being slightly biased because he's my favourite driver

If the fake goat has to talk others down like that, you know who the real GOAT is. Lulu was always afraid of Max, from the day he entered F1. Rightfully so i'd say, Max is going to make that fake goat look like a lousy little lamb.
