Got to handle all of Praesidus’ watches at WindUp in San Francisco. They are beautifully well made. I was worried that the smaller ones would not fit my 7 1/4” wrist, but they did. I am really into the older designs because of their legibility.

Stunning piece. I wish it was sapphire for the crystal. Still not sure to buy, but the styling is superb. Looking for something to replace my 90's seamaster for every day wear. Love the channel! Thanks for the review bud!

Hey thanks man, glad to hear you enjoyed the video. I think acrylic gives a different character to sapphire and it wouldn’t be the same… but sapphire is certainly more practical!

hi Ivan. How are you mate? Very cool, simple, retro looking WAtch you got there. Honestly I like it. Love the dial and hand design. I always was and am a sucker for that patina color and sword hands. Interesting coin edge case design, but it would have been nicer if they had put a logo on the crown. (details, details... that make huge differences for making buying decisions). Another thing. you said that it was Assembled in USA? if that is the case, they should market that as one of the selling point. Does it say anywhere on the dial or on the back case? Also, is it a mat black dial? Until you mentioned it, I thought it was dark navy blue dial... ha ha The glass seems to be bit too high (about 1mm too high?), but not a deal breaker and the size of 32 and 38mm might be too small for me considering my 7.5 inch wrist size. As for the bracelet.....mmmmmm.... considering the high cost of the WAtch, it would be much beneficial (for sales) to provide a couple of extra bands (Nylon & Milanese mesh) along with the WAtch. $595 is bit steep for what it is, but it has some potential. (no matter what, how cheap and good the Aliexpress (China brands) is offering currently, it is very tough to accept the USA micro brand pricing lately. That is the truth!). I have a feeling that if this watch gets very famous and popular, Steeldive or Pagani can knock it off at $79.00 retail price with NH35 movement with an option of extra two bands (plus $10 more, ha ha). And many of us will not mind taking that deal BECAUSE I just can not see anything that special about this "assembled in USA" WAtch from Praesidus (initially I thought that was a "China brand" from Aliexpress. Bit funky name..) PS: Ivan, I meant to ask you for few years, but kept forgetting. Why did you use "WAtch" on Perth WAtch name? Why the capital "A" on the name? Just curious. Thanks a lot mate!

Hello Alex! Yeah, assembled in USA and I feel that they do market it - it's on the case back and certainly splashed on the website and packaging. I think the dial is deliberately "sterile" with no brand markings at all, which I don't mind here. The dial is definitely black... perhaps the blue hue you saw might be from the AR which is a common effect. But yeah, pricing is steep for what you get and I totally agree they could have lifted it a bit with inclusion of some more straps... I actually asked for the canvas one also to show but they did not put this in. And yes, I do feel that Pagani would do this for well under $100! As for the WAtch... good question and well spotted. Perth is in Western Australia and commonly written as "Perth, WA"... Aussies will know why I put that capital A in, while most non-Aussies either don't notice it or assume it's a typo. Well, now you know :)

@@PerthWAtch thanks for a quick reply (very un-like of you, ha ha ha) I have been to Perth about .... 15 years ago because my customer had an office and warehouse there. Just stayed for a couple of days before I flew to other countries. My impression of Perth was....almost like Vancouver, Canada. Very much un-like of Melbourne which is my favorite cities in Australia, due to the food, mixed ethnicity, and just the live-vibe in the downtown. Sorry to say, but I thought Perth was bit boring city.... have you lived in different cities in Australia? Anything awesome about Perth?

I think you're on point there... Perth is very frequently likened to Vancouver, and others who are well travelled tell me that the US cities that it's most similar to might be Denver. Many of us here feel that Perth is a well kept secret - being likened to Vancouver is no bad thing as that city is almost always near the top (or the #1) of lists of most liveable places in the world. Melbourne is certainly more lively and in terms happenings & events (not necessarily in terms of ethnic mix mind you) and is definitely more exciting, so if you like that then you will find Perth boring in comparison. But for other things that people might look for, Perth is difficult to beat: weather, beaches (Melbourne has nothing here!), space, clean air, minimal congestion, a great river, still relatively easy access to excellent education, some of the best work conditions anywhere in my specific profession... heck, even as I type this it's a PERFECT 77 degrees outside with sun shining down and puffy clouds in the blue skies!!

What's remarkable to me about the Praesidius is that there's NO LOGO of any kind on the dial !!! I love it so much !!! I'm sick of looking at watch dials and logos plastered everywhere. The worst offender is Grand Seiko. Watch collectors, however, love logos. Watches are a flex. "Do you know who I am? I've got more money than you, therefore I'm better than you."
