I have always wanted a 1909 Peruvian Mauser. They have exploded in price in the last 10 years. Probably the nicest Mauser ever made.

Mausers are great to collect, you can't really go wrong with them. The Persians are really nice.

i have that rifle. i paid $125.00 for it in 1980. my friend shot on missouri's national guard rifle team. he shot it and was amazed by the clean trigger pull. the action works like butter. the last one i saw was sold on auction and fetched $500.00 about a year ago. the notch on my receiver looks a little deeper than yours. i bought it because it was 30.06 caliber. best rifle i own. it will be around a long time after i go away. then my son will have it.

Thank you for this great presentation. Peru did have issues with MIR guerillas in the early 1960s and that was probably the reason for the lend lease Garands and the 30-06. I picked up an FN Mauser modelo 1935 action that has has the 30-06 notch. It was from a botched sporterization attempt. One day I will either rebuild it or remilitarize it. Original stocks are nonexistent. I have heard that you might be able to use any FN Model 24 stock but don't know for sure. Excellent content. Subbed and liked!

Peru had issues with Shining Path Guerrillas during the 60s to the 80s.
@garagemetalshop79752 жыл бұрын
@@marckcarbonelloifveteran410 MIR was in the 50s and 60s and morphed into MRTA and yes, Sendero Luminoso was from the late-70s to the early 1990s. The lend-lease to Peru started in the 1940s to combat USSR influence. They received a lot of assistance for a South American nation. Even Colombia received much less through this program. M2 Ball ammunition was plentiful and though scarce documentation is available, it follows that the 30-06 conversions of the FN Mausers were made to take advantage of this. My father did his military service in the 1950s and loved his FN Mauser.

I just sold a BuTcHeReD Sporter today for $100. They drilled two holes thru the Beautiful Crest! Sporter Stock and cut Barrel.Bent and cut the Bolt Handle too,and ground on it. A rare Rifle,utterly destroyed.

I just picked one up just like this, all matching. Mine has a beveled follower so it doesn’t lock open, though.

Germany should have named a town ,river or mountain after the mausers. A suv would be cool to.

Not too sure about that Swede stripper clip. Doesn't seem like it works well at all. Whilst they are renowned for fitting all manner of clip guides, those 06 rounds seem too loosely held.

I own one...and I would like to know if there is a website you purchase all your parts from? I would like to buy a top hand guard?
@MilsurpGarage3 жыл бұрын
I get parts from all over. Sometimes wherever you can be lucky enough to find what your looking for dictates the place. For a Peruvian Mauser hand guard specifically I would say NUMRICH but they are “out of stock” for the 1935 hand guard. Next stop for me would be EBAY. Only the hand guard rear sight screw is posted as of now but if you keep your eyes open you will find one there eventually. Good luck!
