Silly question but, where can I have access to the free training mode? I don't want to train skills, just an arena with players in training mode, with no timing, referee, etc. where I can select to shoot a free kick wherever I want? (like you show on minute 6:24) Thanks for the video!

Now THIS will be useful, for sure... I haven't scored a free kick, but once with Pelkas in a PAOK match on PES 19, thanks to Spoony. In PES 20, I had only one chance, which went onto the wall. I hope to achieve more chances with DP2. Good luck to everyone!

I'm pretty good at free kicks, I've watched tons of tutorials (asians are pretty good at it), but this was by far the most precise and helpful I've ever watched, once again Spoony you've hit a home run (ups, wrong sport... sorry, don't even like baseball by the way...) One last thing, Smalling played only 3 games, but thank you MU, either Serie A sucks or he needed a change of scenery or Fonseca is the right coach for him, but Smalling (they call him the Colossus over here... despite the fact he's awfully skinny) has been really delivering top performances so far...

Thanks dude, that's great to hear. That is great to hear mate about Smalling. I always thought if Smalling could stay fit and get a run of games... He'll perform really well! He's better than Jones for sure! Maybe a bit poor at distribution but...defending wise he's solid!

Great tutorial spoony one thing tho u know that the knuckle shot can be done in open play too by tapping the shoot button again before the shot.Its honestly the best shot in the game besides the controlled shot

I'm confused... Do you push the left stick slightly forward to increase the power or do you pull the stick back and to the left to get more power?

Forward for more power, back if you're close to goal and need the ball to go up and down quickly

Practice practice practice. Go into training and do freekicks over and over again... You'll get it for sure after 3hrs of practice. Then apply it in-game

I think the reason Bale and Rashford's knuckle ball shots dip is because they've got the dipping shot trait - that trait seems to over-take the knuckle shot trait and make the shot dip normally rather than erratically like Ronaldo and Calhanoglu

If LS is forward a bit, the shot elevation will be lower, better for FK closer to the box? If LS is back a bit, the shot elevation be higher, better for FK further from the box? did i get it right?

Pushing forward applies more power however less dip, less curve and trajectory is going upwards. Pulling back goes higher, slower but more dip and curve. So pushing forward just a bit, applies more power but the trajectory will remain level almost.

Great video as always, I'm wondering if you feel the game has improved at all with the latest patch? I'm currently not playing a football game at all on PlayStation as FIFA is so one dimensional and to me personally is a mess. I've watched a lot of your content and obviously no game is perfect but still reading a lot of negative things regarding PES. Keep up the great in depth content.

Honestly I feel it's made the game a little better especially online , I feel player responsive and defensive positioning and A.I has improved. But yes data pack 2 will determine whether other issues that have arised will be improved but overall I'm happy with the game miles ahead of fifa as a pure football game.

PES free-kicks are a bit too easy to score IMO. I suppose it prevents people from committing fouls in good areas, knowing a free-kicks are OP. Great Tutorial tho :)

My only problem with Free Kicks in PES, other than the ref giving them away ALL THE TIME, is the fact that the defensive wall doesn't jump high enough. Also in training they don't tell you how to jump or defend a FK, so I had to concede in a few games before I figured it out.

Came here for this same question. Other than making my wall jump, can I shift the wall to the left or right? The goalkeeper can be controlled or made to anticipate a side as well just before the kick is taken too. But any other advice?

Spoony Pizzas agreed, but it’s frustrating when the fouls are still a problem with the game, though not as bad as they were before the most recent update. Refs still call some of the dumbest fouls outside my box, then there goes another goal for the opposition.

@@davidbugarin I believe you can control a player and get him to close the gap next to the wall. Other than that, it's plain luck.

@@davidbugarin press L1 plus R3 and then move your keeper up, this will make the AI always shoot down, when the AI starts running up to shoot move your keeper down(no sprinting) and then mash square. Works for me 99% of the time

3:36 "if I'm Central or quite far into the left" *uses the pull back* The next freekick you use the standard one but with pulling the left stick forward a bit further. I'm very confused.

Pulling back just helps the ball go up and down quicker but is slower in velocity

In your gameplan settings... You can goto settings and then setup who comes up for corners (3 choices max)

Kind of glad that they slightly nerfed the free kicks for 2020 as they were faaaaaar too easy on 2019. I remember hearing that they removed the skill requirement for knuckleballs on free kicks around the time the demo came out. Not sure where exactly I heard that but at least I now know why I've been having so much trouble doing them successfully 😅

It is too easy to score free kick. You need to press L1 and R3 to select GK to go near your wall and give up the open side and hope the best. So far most of the player at My club still shooting on the wall side.

You can try triangle too and time your wall jump with 0. Not many fks conceded with good defending. It's pretty much a mind game.

Best technique is to wait until they start their run up. Then you know they can't deviate or change path of shot. So you can select goalie and move to the other side. Selecting the goalie too soon... means your opponent will know what you're going to do and shoot to the other side or knuckle it.

Penalties, Spoony. I've just lost *another* final on penalty kicks (Superstar). The A.I. Keeper has an uncanny, and suspicious, tendency to go the right way and make the save... And taking them... put it this way, I'd much rather have a free-kick 18-25 yards out, just outside the box.

Pes 2020 is Kind of broken, because when you're playing against another player(offline) and he Fouls you, 90% of the time he won't even get a card. And the freeckicks are impossible to score, because he can See where you're shooting. When playing offline you can just foul everytime the other player attacks, its just a joke. Edit: i forgot to mention Fouls in the box... The ref gives you a penalty but the other player doesn't even get a card(except if its a slide tacke from behind) and against a good player you have like a 30% Chance to score(everytime me and my brother get to pens one of us wins like 4-3 after 9 shots)
