Nice job on the box Jason. Touching moment. When you loss a pet can be rough. That Box will bring a little more peace the the owners. Thanks for sharing.

It came out really well! Pugsey, my Pekingese that you've met in the past turned 13 this year and he's passed his prime for sure. I can definitely relate to the owner wanting a very nice resting place for their furry family member. Very well done Jason. Now, go hug your pets!! :)

I have had more than one pet in my life pass away. I'm not sure how I feel about a "coffin" for a pet, but the simple yet beautiful look of your project has given me something to think about. My cat is getting up in years, and maybe I'll take the time to make her a burial box. - Thank you

It's something that hadn't crossed my mind until others asked me to make them. Something to consider. Thanks for watching!

Thanks, getting those mitres correct was a challenge, especially since I had to keep changing the set up on my miter saw.

I don't think it's morbid at all, Jason. In fact, I think a lot of you for building such a nice piece for a co-worker about to loose their best friend. Kudos my friend. I would love to get a plan from you as I too am looking at the age of my poodle, who is MY BEST FRIEND, next to my wife of course. Thank you for your loving touch for a friend!!!!!

I like that you are not trying to sell anything. You video was perfect for me because I was asked to do the same thing and really had no idea where to start . If it were rectangular, what are the dimensions? I don’t think I will do the mitred corners

Our Jack Russell is going on 18 years and has gotten to the point his life has few perks any more. like he can't control his blatter and constantly having to wash him from laying in his own urine. He could tell when my back was all messed up before I ended up having multiple surgeries. When my gaul blatter was about to rupture everyone told me I just had a really bad stomach virus but Skippy kept jumping up on the bed and smelling my chest and rooting me up from the bed. When I got to the hospital they started prepping me for surgery and said I'd almost waited too late. So he may have save my life or definitely saved me from a ruptured mess and massive bile infection. I'm strong enough to build a nice casket but can't bare taking him to the vet. i think we'll have a Skippy party with all the people he loved to play with and let him enjoy all the grilled meats he can and after that I'll have a close friend take him to the vet and bring back the body in his coffin and have a burial for him. It's gonna be one of the hardest things I've had to do in a long time. He went everywhere I went for a lot of years Most people would agrivate me and say " You head on it leave Skippy with us ".

Here for the same reason folks.. Im about to lose my furbaby.. He has urinary blockage and thw catheter didn't help. We cant afford the surgery cost, so he's here with us right now, may be we're just waiting for that time. My heart's broken.
@DesignBuildExecute4 жыл бұрын
I'm very sorry. Unfortunately, my family just had to personally deal with this a month ago with our eleven year old beagle. We're heartbroken and still miss her very much. At the time of making this, as I stated it was for someone else and the pain of losing a pet really hadn't set in. Now I know all too well. Prayers for your family. We know what you're going through.
