One of the 5 best songs Pete ever wrote: solo or for The Who. Fact.

Big Who Fan, remember seeing this live on Cable, looking back and not realizing Having David Gilmore Playing Guitar would be so Memorable and Amazing.... I miss the 80's music seen...

Pete cultivates you with his meaningful lyrics then backs it up with a powerful hard rock beat. Genius. Songwriters listen up.

I was on the 3rd row for the 1st show of the Psycho Derelict tour (Great Woods in Massachusetts). The multi-media electronics for Derelict wouldn't work so Pete proceeded to play four hours of Who and solo music. Hands down the greatest rock-n-roll show I have ever seen.

The first time I heard this song was in 1982, maybe '81. I'm not sure. I was working at a cemetery. This song still rips my heart out. Beautiful song. For real.

One of the most powerful introspective songs ever written. This man owns the stage like few others. Few have pioneered music like he has, music owes a great debt to him. Appreciate it, as we shall never see another like Pete.

What I love about Pete is his ability to write a rock anthem like Baba O’Riley then turn around and write a killer pop song like Let My Love Open The Door. Both are awesome songs yet completely different and yet the second you hear either one of them you know instantly that it’s Pete Townsend.

I am with "jackskillet ". This song made me tear up the first time I saw and heard it on MTV. I just saw The Who 2 weeks ago in Louisville Kentucky. Pete was a spiritual miracle. He still looks and sounds great !! Time has passed like The Concord. What a ride !!

One of Pete's best. Had he desired it, this would have been a great Who song with Roger singing backup vocals. It's fun to watch Gilmour play rock-n-roll.
