That was such a fun morning, its crazy how much ground you can cover out there when you are having fun with your friends🤙 . Sorry for all that roost next time you will need to lead more and I will eat more of those, "sand-whiches!" 😁. It looks like you had a blast ripping through all those old southern live oaks and Florida pines and we even got to blaze some of our own trails on the way back! Awesome riding with you Pete cannot wait to do it again in the near future. Ideally, I need to make it up your neck of the woods at some point!

No worries on the roost man, I put myself in those situation's by choice 😅 Going through the oaks and pines was awesome, it's so fun to have so many options and sight lines! Hey man! Awesome vid I was wondering which tires would you recommend to ride at croom with!
@PeteHager Жыл бұрын
paddles would be fun in the super sandy areas but you would chew them up on random whoops and dirt sections within the park. I would recommend any nobbies you prefer! Some whoops get deep so I would steer clear of 18 inch rear tires and go with a least a 20 👍

I love Yamaha and all their sport quads, besides raptor 660, I mean i own a warrior 350 2004, but they're just pretty heavy compared to honda or can am, Yamaha yfz is 405lb and a can am DS is 350lb, its not a huge difference but for me being a small guy noticeable

Pete I just went to croom today for the first time and I loved it the only part that sucked was that my 400ex broke down and it wouldn’t turn on maybe a spark issue bc it would turn on after charging up the battery and then as soon as you would start riding it would shut off but otherwise I was able to ride my father 450 ktm and man those whoops will having you like a venting dog, then we got lost and it was pain bc those dirbikes aren’t really meant for two especially with all this sand

Hey Pete, what's your thoughts on this ride you did on the YFZ vs on the Raptor. Plus/Minuses of each?
@PeteHager3 жыл бұрын
This place is much better suited for the YFZ than the Raptor. The Raptor is awesome for smooth, fast trail. Plus it has excellent torque for climbs and drag racing. Croom has very active terrain and the ergonomics and lower center of gravity that the YFZ has is much more safe and practical in that type of environment. I only grabbed 4th gear a couple times that day. If you plan to jump, ride lots of whoops, or rip lots of berms the YFZ is going to be the better tool for the job 👍
@eddupont5043 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I Come from Northern Vermont where we don't have any trail systems for ATV all trails are Home made or old logging roads. Super super hard terrain, Rocks/mud and everything in between. I just got a 2021 Raptor 700R SE in April and unless I'm riding by myself or with someone else who Is experienced it's not manageable on a Sports quad. I consider Myself a Very Experienced rider coming from a Honda trx 450 and 250 before that. The 700 has the most smooth power through all gears I have ever had but is a bit more difficult to pull around on the rough trails than the trx 450 was
