I just love how chuffed Peter Sellers looks. This was one of his first big performances after his terrible heart attacks in 64 and he just seems very joyful. Love love love

This is so unexpectedly delightful. T-Bone AND Sellers? Look how Peter can’t wait to hit the brushes!

yeah I read somewhere a few years ago he used to keep his neighbours away when he was practising on his drumkit 🤣

You really should add T-Bone-Walker to the title of this upload! His fans might like that very much.

On this day in 1965 {July 2nd} Peter Cook and Dudley Moore* performed "Goodbye-ee" on the British ITV network television program, 'Ready Steady Go!'... At the time the song was at position #36 on the United Kingdom's Official Top 50 Singles chart, four weeks later it would peak at #18 {for 1 week} and it spent ten weeks on the Top 50 chart... Peter Edward Cook passed away at the young age of 57 on January 9th, 1995, and Dudley Stuart John Moore died on March 27th, 2002 at the age of 66... May they both R.I.P. * The following year on April 22nd, 1966 they appeared for a second time on 'Ready Steady Go!'...

And Jazz. Clearly Moore and Sellers were well-trained jazz musicians as well as the aforementioned musical genres. I saw Dudley Moore play Rachmaninoff's 2nd Piano Concerto at the Hollywood Bowl in the mid-to-late 80's. Not too sure what he couldn't do. Peter Cook was considered the best comedian in their first comedy troupe together with Moore, Beyond the Fringe. And what can be said about Peter Sellers? Solid comedy gold legend and truly shined in his most serious role as Chance the Gardener in Being There (even though he had moments of hilarity in it too.)

I agree that they aren't seen very much anymore, especially with the youngins. I don't think they are being taught. They appeared during the Zydeco craze of the '90s, and as a novelty in DCI/drum & bugle corps. Peter has excellent brush technique, and is a very, very good drummer. (Don't let the avatar pic fool you; I'm a drummer first and foremost!)
