Wow! What a treat. I have all of Peter's books and have read every one of his articles in R&T and CW at least twice. For those of us who love cars and motorcycles, there is no greater writer. I'd never heard Peter interviewed before and tonight (6/20/21) just thought to myself, "I wonder if there's an interview with Peter Egan on KZbin." And here it is! I've been reading Peter's work in R&T for decades, and have read his book "On The Road With..." at least 3 times cover to cover. Was just finishing the first "Side Glances" compendium and just enjoy his writing so much figured I see if there was anything with Peter on You Tube. Really enjoyed this interview and getting to know a little more about Peter.

This was absolutely great! I'm in the process of reading "Leanings" now and it was neat to hear him refer to some of the stories I have read thus far. I've already ordered "Leanings 2" and "Leanings 3." What a fantastic writer this man is. Now that I am retired I am looking forward to sitting back and reading his collection of features and columns between taking lazy rides on my Royal Enfield Meteor. Peter should have a KZbin channel. He could just talk about topics and have someone else do the editing. A nice retirement side gig... It would be nice to see/hear Barb's input on all this! Too bad they didn't bring her in too! Better than a bigger battery would be to have the power supply; it's NEVER good to have a battery crap out in the middle of a vid, no matter how big or how many of them you have.

I met you Peter a couple times early 2000s late 90s you signed Leanings for me. I think your the greatest. I worked Cycle Wordls booth an set it up tore it down. The giant aluminum rotating globe. I worked the booth a few years into it after seeing all the sights its was better to work the booth. Many times I could sell more subscriptions than the magazines employees. I love all things bike car tractor ,old fans. Your quote on favorite bikes I have had more than I could count. Most were what was cheap and what I coulf afford. Top for me hands down 87 gl 1200 silverwing. Next RM100 first year 6 speed highly modified. Right now Im currently in love with a 2000 KTM 300EXC thats somehow by luck I guess has title an tag. The KTM is so great many dont know what it is the ones who do are in love. I get asked everyday to go ride 100 miles away ,they just dont get it. Best thing ever around town for fun but not what most think motorcyles are capable of. Has two sets of wheels tall gears an off road an street set up with high gears Battle axe rubber. Cops look away and kids stop an stare at the sound. St Joseph Mo. If you ever decide to sleep outside again your welcome in my spare room any time. Love your stories an easy going ways. Your just like me in many ways . I dont hate any brands or types just like some better than others.
