Agree. As someone who is a huge Roxy Music fan, can really appreciate Bryan Ferry's vocals, and saw the Avalon Tour circa 2019. Frampton did it justice in my book. Few if anyone could do it this well.

@@peterkennethframpton3789 Mr. Frampton, I've just read your book a couple months ago and really enjoyed it. I just cut steel for a living, but have had the good fortune of becoming friends on Facebook with Venetta Fields, a few years ago. My understanding is that she has written an autobiography, but has never had any luck, getting it to the public. I'm only a fan and not speaking on Miss Fields' behalf. I'd like to read her story. Mr. Shirley and yourself both have successful books out. I'm baffled that Miss Fields has been unable to release her own. Just in the past month an advertised post has appeared on my Facebook page, noting that "Venetta Fields likes Peter Frampton". It's an advertisement for your "Frampton Forgets the Words" album. Sorry, but I haven't heard it yet. At 53, though, I've been a fan, since childhood. Thanks.

Love this version of Roxy Music’s ethereal song...now let’s get Peter in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Long overdue...
@gordonlandreth95503 жыл бұрын
I will sure say long overdue , Humble Pie should have gone in long ago , so Petey should have 2 exhibits there . I remember seeing him in the early days when not that many folks many folks knew who he was . He always put on a great show and had a friendly feeling with the audience . When I was stationed at Ft. Hood with the 1st Cav , Peter came Austin and played at the rock hall there . His first songs were acoustic , off the first solo LP , and the crowd sat on the floor clapping politely . But when he brought out the black Gibson and launched into ' It's a Plain Shame ' I jumped up and ran up if front of the stage , whipped off my shirt and started waving it around , running back and forth in front of the stage , basically going nuts . When the song ended I looked back and the whole crowd was standing and cheering Pete and the band . He came near the front and I stuck out my hand for a handshake from him , and he obliged , with a good grip . Problem was , with that heavy Les Paul still strapped on , and leaning over , he started to fall on me . Out of the corner of my eye I saw a roadie moving over to grab him and keep him from falling off the stage . With my left hand I quickly grabbed his right arm , and with both hands , right hand still clasping his , pushed him upright and back into the arms of the roadie who arrived to help . A handshake for the memories , from a long time fan from Atherton , CA .

YOU ROCK Mr. Frampton. I listen to you play and always feel content. I wore out Frampton Comes Alive so I naturally had to get a second copy..only the new one didn't skip or hiss. I remember every odd sound and it was totally awesome to expect them but never heard them. I sat and watched with much satisfaction you playing at the Royal Albert Hall on your Farewell Tour in London on PBS. IT was the best program I've had the privilege to view in quite a very long time. I smiled with eyes open and closed...I even applauded your performance in my living room all by myself. "Frampton Comes Alive" I would not sell for any amount of money. You represent for me a piece of my childhood that I thoroughly enjoyed.....your musical talent...along with your awesome band. May God bless you and keep you safe, happy, and content. ROCK ON!!!!!
