Andy Greene in Rolling Stone, published yesterday wrote, "Background singer Tawatha Agee, who toured with the group in the early Eighties, does an amazing job on this one. The background musicians for the upcoming tour haven’t been announced, but Agee was a part of Ferry’s most recent solo tour and let’s hope she’s back for this next Roxy run." I fell for her when they were at the Hollywood Bowl, 1983.
@williamcandee52672 жыл бұрын
@@clarkdhruvaeforden In the Frejus concert from 1982, which was recorded and released as a movie of sorts, the backup singers were Fonzi and Tawatha (who were both at R&R HOF induction) plus Michelle Cobbs, who sang on Avalon and toured extensively with Ferry in the early and late 80s. Tawatha's voice is still as amazing as it was in the 80s. Michelle essentially left the business and became a well-regarded addiction counselor in the NY area. Fascinating article on her in Rolling Stone. She and Fonzi were pals with Luther Vandross when she graduated from a NY arts high school, and worked extensively with Chic. She also sang with Diana Ross, the Police, Gang of Four, Duran Duran; a really-varied career.
