A most interesting take on a Motown classic as only Peter Gabriel could do. Shades of Genesis especially in the flute solos...

around 1:10 says peter kind of created the 80s drum sound, he's a relatively unrecognized innovator. www.vox.com/videos/2017/8/18/16162440/recording-studio-mishap-shaped-80s-music

Duh - I have a lot of shows but never bothered checking: thanks. (This one sounds like it's from the Rotterdam show)

No - I heard this played at the De Montford Hall, Leicester gig on this tour. Was entrancing. PG walked through the standing audience in the stall as he started singing.

@@colinchadfield406 did he play the flaute parts?

@@colinchadfield406 Yes! While everyone had their eyes cast on the front of stage, he surprised everyone by entering through the back of the audience. Simply Brilliant!

He sang this at the Cardiff Capital Theatre, also on this tour on this tour - I was there, and I was much younger. It was magic, as he is most times he appears live. It was the first time I saw Tony Levin...and the Chapman Stick. He only had the one album out at the time, so he supplemented it with songs like this...and I think he did 'Here Comes The Flood' twice...we didn't mind at all. Oh, and no Genesis songs.
