This match is a friendly demonstration. I don't think anyone in this comment section understands that. This match is pitting one of the greatest players ever against a female player who isn't even recognized highly in the Canadian badminton community. This is not a BWF-sanctioned match. Get over yourselves. Christin's net shots are illegal because she's fooling around just like Gade. It's all in good fun people. Enjoy the video no need for criticism.

Christin is not out of shape. Peter has soooo much speed in his shots (racket head speed) her legs were gone in the first rely. Look it how little time Christin has to respond to his shots. Look at the quickness of his racket head when he is hitting compared to her's. Has nothing to do with Christin's fitness, everything to do with Peter's racket head speed.

@@zijiequ962 I think what you don't get is that Christin is playing against one of the greatest players in the sport, so it's hard to compete with Peter. However, she forced herself into a lot of unfavorable situations. She made very little attempt to construct the rally. These happened for two reasons. Peter is one of four legends in badminton, alongside of Lin Dan, Lee Chong Wei and Taufik. Christin on other hand, at the time of this video, wasn't even considered a national level player. There's a huge difference. Don't get me wrong, she can kick my ass at badminton anytime. I've played for 10 years but that's only at a local club level. Hope you understand my point.

The annoying left front side weakness. When you're super tired, you just at your opponents pace, losing stability of ready position, stop going back to centre, start anticipating more and doing half-hearted/panic shots when out of position. I don't know why but Christin seems to play like a guy to me (maybe because of the fast pace?). But overall Christin did good~ (reminds me of the time when i face someone at a total different level - but Christin kept her composure really well)
@kweej23 Жыл бұрын
he's not really playing like a guy per se. the pace is faster because she's using her doubles against PG, she's pressing down on the back 4 corners while avoiding netting.

Which bit? I've seen michelle li go deep into the main draw of the All England, beating one of China's top-3 WS a couple of years back. Also I just think there's a lot of people making harsh comments who would get trounced by this girl Christin Tsai
@TobyLiftsWeights8 жыл бұрын
She could not beat the top players such as Lee Chong Wei or Lin Dan, not to mention a few others
@meandermyself618 жыл бұрын
Obviously. None of the elite women's singles in the world could beat LD/ LCW or any player in the top couple of hundred in the world. I once saw one of our university's male singles players lose a close 3-setter with our university's no.1 women's player - a foreign student who was ranked 50 in the world. He was a talented guy but not even a pro.Compare the men with the men, and the women with the women. You are watching an exhibition game here, where PG is playing a few rallies at a slower tempo. I have infinite respect for the women pros, don't get me wrong. What you can compare is the racket skills and the tactics, and you'd need to know what you were talking about. For example, watch firdisari of indonesia for racket skill, how cleanly she hits every shuttle, or watch tai tzu ying for great touch play. That's as good as anything on the men's tour. But you won't have the ridiculous athleticism and brutal power of the top MS. The gradations in the standard of the women's game are also non-uniform. the top 20 are HUGELY better than those in the next bracket 20-40 in the world rankings and so on. They are very complete players. The top 10 nowadays is competitive as hell with a different girl winning every tournament. Our example of the guy in our university, he'd get killed by a top 15 or top 30 WS. The point i was trying to make is that the girl in the video is a good player, playing an invitational match with Gade. Unless you are the top MS of your university (and a good standard one) or a county-level/state level singles player in the men's game she would whip your ass. You might think differently but Badminton looks slow and easy on this kind of low-close to the court camera angle. Trust me, you would have a nasty surprise. And if you are that good, you should have the benefit of training and experience not to belittle somebody else's hard work, ergo you wouldn't be posting on here like a troll.
