I watched Peter Kay's first two standups sooo many times but I think I've only seen this one once. Love these reactions! You're doing really well understanding his heavy Bolton accent - just remember that he rhymes words like "fair" and "bear" with "fur" and that he usually drops the word "the" or replaces it with a "t" sound (like when he says "tinternet" instead of "the internet"). My dad has a pretty heavy Lancashire accent so his accent sounds pretty normal to me 😆

Great reaction as always. I was an expert at the sick voice on the phone even before i first saw this lol. A toffee apple is a toffee coated apple on a stick, Taffy is a nickname for Welsh people. So, what do you can a Welshman with a stick up his arse - a Taffy apple.

Yep, it's from the River Taff in Cardiff, Wales. Similar to Limey for the English, and Yank for Americans. "Taffy apple" is a play on words for "toffee apple".

Peter announced in Nov 2009 that he would be playing four dates at Manchester Arena, which was extended to 112 nights due to ticket demand (88 in England, 14 in Ireland, 5 in Scotland, 5 in Wales) ... he recently did some "taster" shows in Manchester were the audience bought tickets but didn't know who they were seeing (they had cell phones taken off them so they couldn't record anything) it's expected that he will soon be announcing a huge 2023 tour, after a 6 year break ... great reaction Randi, he lives 3 miles from where I do & I never really realised that he talked as quick until you mentioned it ... looking forward to the next one ☺

@@BetterEveryDayKZbin ahh takes me back to my teenage years, have to be honest, their lyrics are... not great, but it's hard not to headbang to Firefly or Polyamorous, their cover of 'rain rain go away' was surprisingly good too - Dance With The Devil is still my favorite, especially the one on KZbin where it's got the old 'IT' movie behind it. Fun Fact, I did an English Media project in school where we had to make like a movie trailer and we used Diary of Jane as the soundtrack ... pretty sure that'd fall under copyright these days xDD

@@beautifulchlorophyll2285 😊 from what I heard, Ben went to rehab around 2010 or 2011 & the band released Shallow Bay (without his permission). When he got out they split up. He eventually got a new band & they put have put out a few CDs together (similar sound, but not completely)
