my theory is that wanted to create the perfect supervillain origin for spiderman because despite being a tragedy his life could have gone towards villain if he was pushed.

Yeah you can probably guess what else Zeb Wells did in this new Amazing Spider-Man comics run (which make the new Ultimate Universe reboot Spider-Man and Spectacular Spider-Man comics by Jonathan Hickman and Greg Weisman look like masterpieces more so) 😒

Interesting thought; what if, as we know there's no Norman Osborne in our MCU, and they use this plotline to give our Peter from MCU a darker, more adult Spiderman. Maybe he gets possessed by Norman's dark half in a similar way. Maybe he just goes full dark Spidey and they don't explain it leaving it up to us to determine what happened to him.

why do this have to do this again. however the idea of peter becoming a goblin was with glider and spider bombs. I know people are jazzed about superior spiderman , marvel wanting carching in a bottle again but not copying themselves thought just spider man evil to see how the wall crawlers life if he was given a villain style origin story. we know the sinister six are gunning for him, but lets either peter doesnt have to fridge someone before he snaps out of it.
