Season 3: Two in one. Peter is doing an internship with Dr. Connors in his laboratory. It was in this very laboratory that Peter was bitten by a radioactive spider. Connors himself is a scientist, a disabled man without a right hand, he has a wife and a son. He doesn't live richly, and he barely pays for the laboratory. Liz Allan, Peter's classmate and Flash's girlfriend, gets the lowest grade in math. Without thinking twice, the teacher assigns Peter to tutor her. Reluctantly, they both agree, but since Peter is with Connors, they will study there. Eddie Brock, Peter's old friend from childhood, returns to the city. He also works with Connors. Eddie and Peter lost their parents in the same car accident, and they are both very happy to see each other. Eddie is quite kind, but also a hot-tempered guy who once spent time in prison for causing serious bodily harm to a bully who was abusing a dog. Electric Max Dillon also works in the laboratory. He has practically no friends, everyone considers him strange, he works for peanuts, and his mother openly dislikes him. But there is a ray of light in Max's life, namely, Connors, who is his friend, and Peter, who he recently met, who is also kind of a freak. However, one night, Max has an accident. He was standing next to a tank of genetically modified electric eels when lightning struck. Max suffered terrible injuries and was emitting electricity. Connors, his wife, Peter, Liz, and Eddie all witnessed this. Connors couldn't help Max, so he passed him off to his acquaintance, who gave Max a suit that does not conduct electricity and hides the scars on the upper part of his face. Peter, though a mutant himself and fought against the same "mechanical giant bird" by fighting against people with technology, this time a person with superpowers appeared, and most importantly, in the most brutal way. This was also new for Liz, and this event gradually brings them closer. Also, on that same night, lightning struck not only Max, but also Dr. Connors' secret syringe. Even his wife Martha wasn't aware of it, and he kept it for himself, containing the lizard gene. All this time, Connors had been obsessed with the idea of ​​regaining his long-lost limb. Max is discharged from the hospital. He goes to his mother, but she disowns him, admitting that she never considered him human. And now he even looks alien. Trying to hit him, she gets shocked, after which she kicks him out of the house. Now Max sees no point in living. He has always been an outcast, but now he doesn't even have any potential chances to communicate with people, his friend refused to help him with his ailment, his own mother disowned him, and now he is unable to get a job due to his "peculiarity." Walking through the alley with these thoughts, he begins to be harassed by a gang, they beat him with their feet, after which he loses control and kills them. Not understanding how it happened, Max feels a need for a large amount of energy and feeling it with every cell of his body, he heads to Times Square. Peter sensed something was wrong, so he refused to study with Liz that day. A few miles away, he felt danger in Times Square and rushed there. A silhouette in a dark green suit was draining energy from the central building. Peter immediately realized it was Max, so he didn't joke around, like he did with the previous antagonists, but tried to reach out to him. But Max needed energy too badly and couldn't stop. Gradually, the building began to crack at the seams, and debris began to fall on civilians, and to prevent casualties, Spider-Man wraps Max in a web and knocks him down. Trying to reach out again, Max begins to shoot electricity at Spider-Man and mostly kicks Spider-Man like a ball in the air, teleporting from point to point. Finally, landing on the ground, Spider-Man began to inflict damage on Max and react to his lightning strikes. During the battle, Spider-Man pours water over Max, and while he waits for an ambulance, Max manages to turn into lightning and fly away.

Parker races to Dr. Connors in his human form to tell him everything. But Connors has grown a hand. It turns out that Kurt had been injecting himself with the lizard gene all along, but to no avail. The lightning that struck Max was the missing ingredient. Peter doesn't like it at all, he shows the whole Connors family the news, but they don't want to listen and tell him to go to sleep. Peter doesn't know what to do. A powerful enemy has appeared in the city, and most importantly, a person close to him, capable of killing people without wanting to, and also potentially something could happen to Dr. Connors. He just wanted to live for himself, but the troubles began to happen right next to his human nature. He's not interested in Liz again, he's trying to find Electro, with Eddie helping him. They decide to go to Max's mother. Even though Peter knew about her attitude towards her son and that he might be crazy, he believed that Max wouldn't touch them or Eddie. And so it happened. But his mother was already dead, at the hands of Max. They were both shocked by his act, but there was no time for emotions: Electro appeared. That was the headline in the news. Max created a suit for himself and gave himself this nickname. Running with Eddie under the pretext of taking pictures for the Bugle, Peter changes into Spider-Man and goes to Max at the football field, where he has already scared away everyone. He was waiting for the Spider, wanting to finish with him. Max was much more cruel and quick and almost killed Spider-Man, but after the police arrived, he vanished. Spider-Man gained strength and decided to go to Connors, already in the guise of Spider-Man. Having said everything, the doctor already agreed to help, coming up with a plan: Spider-Man must push Electro into a huge pool/lake, where Max will be paralyzed for a while, at which time a special, immobile armor is put on him. And just trying to fly away, Connors starts to have a headache and he is covered in scales. Peter understood that this was not good, but he couldn't be in two places at once, and Connors himself told him to leave after the pain stopped. Not knowing where to find Electro, Peter decided to be himself for a while. After talking with Aunt May about all this, she supports him and he goes to sleep. The next morning, Electro calls Spider-Man to the Oscorp power station at night and only him. By this time, the armor was already ready and Spider-Man takes it with him, also making sure that Kurt didn't get worse. Flying out the window, Liz came into the lab asking where Peter was. A few seconds later, Peter himself enters through the front door with an apology for being late. He explains to Liz the solution to the equations and she admires him, as does Kurt, who sees in Peter the makings of a great genius. Time closer to evening, Peter and Liz return together and they find a lot in common: one lost his uncle, the other his brother, though not literally. Later, Peter leaves and the fateful hour arrives. Before entering into a fight with Electro, he again wants to reach out to him, and Max is already more talkative: he doesn't need fame, he's not a maniac, just after all these years of humiliation and words about him being a monster, he wants to prove it with actions. To show people they were right about him, but there's no reason to rejoice in this. And Spider-Man will be a vivid example. And the more people talk about you, the sooner you'll become the person they say you are. The fight was long, Max was at the peak of his powers, literally jumping from one power pole to another, sometimes inflicting countless blows on Spider-Man. Fortunately, Peter's reflexes were enough for most fatal blows, and his web shooters were magnetized back at the beginning of his career. After driving Max crazy with his jokes, he carried him to the pool where there was an explosion. Connors' plan was complete, and Max was put away in a special prison, being locked in his own personal prison in the form of armor.

The next day at school, Peter sees Liz and the following dialogue takes place: - I'm not up to studying. I know I promised and I'm ready to break my principles by writing the paper for you. I don't know how, I'll figure something out, but right now I'm not up to it. - Why? - What?! - Why, Peter, I really need to know. Without realizing it, she took his hands and she was genuinely concerned about him. Breaking eye contact, Peter explained that it was because of Kurt and Max. And most importantly, the first one kidnapped the child in the form of a Lizard. Liz gave him advice to rest and talk to Max, find out how he is. At that moment, Peter has an epiphany that Max, as Dr. Connors' longtime friend, may know something. Coming to Max as Peter Parker, they have a conversation, Max is serious but not angry. After talking about his mother, his newly acquired abilities, the conversation smoothly transitions to Kurt, and Max is immediately disappointed in Peter, completely cutting himself off from Max Dillon. Nevertheless, Electro replies that Kurt has his own lab, in the sewers. Peter mentions Spider-Man, and Electro tells Peter not to rush to tell him. Spider-Man isn't such a hero, and if something happens to Kurt, Peter will blame himself. Spider-Man finds the very laboratory according to Kurt's drawings and sees Billy in a cage. It was made of bulletproof soundproof glass, but Peter managed to break it and pull the son out. Eddie helped him with this, taking Billy into his arms. But as Spidey wanted to get out, the Lizard dragged him back and began to drown him, hitting him in the face with his foot against hard surfaces. The Lizard badly scratched Peter with his claws, but he managed to escape in pursuit, hearing "You'll pay for this, Spider-Man!" Either Connors was sane, or he had a split personality. But the very idea of a reasonable huge Lizard scared Peter the most. After talking to Martha, Spider-Man creates a serum for Kurt with her help. She is ready to risk her life to save her husband. Billy was unnaturally intelligent for his age and insisted that he be with his mother in a special zoo to lure the Lizard. Eddie also volunteered to help Spider-Man. The plan was in action, the Lizard took the bait. He tried to explain to Martha that through his son they could find a new formula and turn all people into Lizards, improving the stagnating species and depriving people of death and injuries. At this time, Spider-Man arrives and fights the Lizard. Although Peter had endured many injuries, he seemed not to be exhausted and fought the Lizard better than the first time. The battle felt eternal, the Lizard didn't feel Spider-Man's blows and grew his severed tail back. Eddie intervened in the battle, giving Spider-Man time and as the Lizard wanted to bite Eddie's head off, Spider-Man stood between them, holding out the serum. Everyone was alive and well. Peter returned to the laboratory by the time Kurt arrived and Martha fired him for his absence and for knowing but doing nothing. Eddie and Kurt remained silent.

Peter return in home. There he looked at his costume and asked himself: why is all this? Martha kicked him out because she didn't want to listen when she had the chance. Max himself considers Spider-Man a threat, although he himself didn't want to listen to him, and Peter Parker's life seemed to have ended after the incident with the Chameleon. Peter wanted to leave. To leave because of the unfair treatment he received and the fact that he was living a life that wasn't his own. But Peter's gaze falls on a photo with Uncle Ben and he remembers words about great power and responsibility. If a person has power but does not use it, he will always be guilty of not preventing something. Peter also remembered Captain Stacy's words about the discontented. Everything fell into place, but the question remained, what did George mean by "human."? With these words, Peter went to sleep, but he did understand something: he couldn't stop being Spider-Man. Waking up and opening the door, Peter sees a note. It was from Kurt, and it said that he doesn't blame Peter for anything and sees in him a potential scientist, so he wants to offer him to study with his old acquaintance Otto Octavius. Peter returns to school, talks to Liz, but then Flash appears and she leaves with him, looking sadly at Peter, who is already turned away from her. Eddie was also on Peter's side and they sat together with May, drinking delicious tea, remembering their early and much more carefree years. Suddenly, there is a knock on the door and Peter opens it to see his old friend Harry Osborn standing on the doorstep.
