My opinion. Do not force someone through rapid detox past 40 or they could have a heart attack in the next year. Also do not make people that have broken the law to live above the standards of people that have not. Put those together, and Peter is still with us.

Peter was born with a heart condition, that paired with him never going to the doctor is ultimately what killed him.

From what I understand his death was first announced as heart failure by that was incorrect. He died of an infection that spread and turned into sepsis.
