If you're staying in LA, this is only about an hour away and is an absolute must see museum. The collection is all French, and all fantastic. The docent led tours are thorough, informative - but when you are finished, the best part is that you can wander at will throughout the collection. There's also a fantastic art deco collection including what I'd call a gentlemen's club/bar area and some Carlo Bugatti furniture. The presentation of nearly everything is stunning and you should budget several hours to drink it all it. Highly recommended.

These cars are just absolutely breath-taking. So beautiful, the fact they are functional is almost a trivial afterthought. However, when you consider the artistry of these cars, the age they were built (no computer, no printers, just slide rules and pencils), compared to something as childish as the Tesla Cybertruck, which looks like it was drawn by a 1st grader with a red crayon (because it will go faster with red), accentuates how remarkable the designers of these vehicles truly were. Fame and recognition, rarely denote the best.
@MachinecoMachines Жыл бұрын
Our automotive users group- (from Opel GT to 12-wheel Peterbilt) understands your POV! HOWever the Cybertruck is indeed a both departure from and leading well away and forward-thinking above all traditional "smooth and swoopy" lines conventions. AND it is above all a serious truck. (1.7 million reservations, more the entire production of all cars here) for that one model alone, speaks volumes about what is a true improvement. Indeed if one wishes to be swoopy, aerodynamic AND avant garde, the Solar Aptera can CURE the curse of energy waste on personal transportation, with everything any one or two people NEED in a car, vs everything the merely "Want", eg front and back cigarette ashtrays, as in some of these featured cars!

Unfortunately these are over restored "trailer queens" that don't get driven. At least Jay Leno drives his old Bugatti's and other classics. I hope to see these in person some day.
