It does seem contradictory, doesn’t it? "Drive to Survive" thrives on the high drama, intensity, and raw emotions that make Formula 1 so exciting, yet there's pressure on the live broadcast to sanitize the sport for a broader audience. The swearing and outbursts, while not always family-friendly, are often a natural part of such a high-pressure environment. By making Formula 1 broadcasts more PG-13 and putting the onus on parents to manage what their children watch, the FIA could allow for a more authentic depiction of the sport. If kids can access the unfiltered intensity on Netflix without regulation, it does raise the question of why the live broadcast must be held to different standards. It’s a tough balance between keeping the sport accessible and protecting its authentic portrayal, especially when platforms like Netflix seem to highlight the very rawness that’s being censored elsewhere.

Red Bull were not “the best team” when Daniel left. Merc had won five consecutive championships and Ferrari were better as well.

These end up being Peter Windsor monologues with the odd question from Cam and grunts of agreement, it feels abit awkward.

I think its to little to late for Mclaren and Lando , all Redbull have to do like Peter says is finish top 4 with no d.n.f's, and that's really doable.

If Norris finishes first for all remaining races, max needs to finish p2 in all the races to win the WDC. So actually it’s there for Norris to take, who has by far the best car

@JS-ll8nk I think whatever happens it should be a great last few races and sprints, so I guess we'll have to wait and see my friend.

Max as spoken English from being a child he knows very well what it means and the context he's using it in, he's not a kid so Peter stop using this as an excuse, it isn't. Yuki had an excuse in his early days but has eased off. Nevertheless, if people received community service in civil cases for swearing billions of people would be in court, a ridiculous denial to free speech. Punishing the driver of his standing is ridiculous & FIA is bringing itself into disrepute
@stonedage50872 ай бұрын
Regarding the swear-gate, it's obviously a personal thing that is going on between max and somebody else, and it has been brewing for quite some time, probably more specifically after his rant throughout the hungarian gp, me assuming. Its rather pathetic and kinda childish whats going on, and both parties are at fault at the moment, and its about time an adult enters the room and solve whatever this is.
@Flamestryke-TVАй бұрын
Why the heck would you every censor a driver speaking during a conference. They bleep out the swearing. Sky does this right during the End of race driver cool down room. If one of the drivers swears, sky apologizes for any colorful language. This is sufficient. Expecting a human being who is passionate in the heat of the moment not to swear is frankly stupid. Its wearing emotions on your sleeve. A lot of high intensity people do that. Max should not have been sanctioned for swearing. Community service by the FIA, If i was max I would skip all the conferences. Hell with the fines. Or do what he is doing "No comment" that sticks it too them.

The moment Max just wanted to drive very well, amongst all the hotchpot between Jos en Christian, he won my true sport heart. I didn't like him, still don't. But his statements are from his heart. You never see that.

I can't tell you how much it irritates me when a driver says anything stronger than "poot" and the commentators immediately have to apologise to sensitive snowflakes for the language. On the other hand.... Kids watch F1 Can't punish Verstappen? They can, and they will.
@RobertDixonTaylor2 ай бұрын
Did peter windsor mean.. the team drivers talking to each other..or ALL the drivers able to talk?? Well... As we've just had "verstappen expletive gate" can you imagine what would be airing.. to the public!.. in a race!!! The tv coverage would spend neatly the WHOLE RACE... Bleeping out!!! Its not comparable to football, or rugby or cricket, or many other TEAM sports where there's usually only two teams with multiple players communicating- in real time , live, not on mikes! International rugby union matches , watched by millions, young and not so young would have ALL THIER PLAYERS AND MANAGERS, doing years of " community service" if we could hear them!!! So come on.. PW is very well informed, a veteran commentator etc... but you maybe should challenge him a bit more lad.
