This is a great score. However, the music for the opening credits was actually written by Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco. Castelnuovo-Tedesco wrote seven uncredited cues for this film.

One thing is for sure Mr George Sanders played parts like this that nobody could touch his" Addison Dewitt" ( in the theater I toil not) finally recognized his art " All About Eve"

What is the song as Lord Henry's carriage travels? It's in the background and has the same tune as "Who Will Buy?" from Oliver! Is it an Old English song? An innocent morning song? Great contrast to Lord Henry's evil self setting out on his day!

Ernst Toch, a celebrated composer of many concert works, composed most of the music for this film. This fact is confirmed on the cue sheets supplied by MGM to The Harry Fox agency for copyright purposes.

Yes. You know you're going to love this picture. wonderful. ...my fault, my fault, my most grievous fault. No bit of fluff this film.
