John Sutton in JANE EYRE (1944) - Part 2/2

Here's British character actor John Sutton (1908-1963) in one of his many roles while under contract to 20th Century-Fox. JANE EYRE (1944) is a competent cinematic adaptation of the classic Charlotte Bronte novel with much professionalism before and behind the camera, including Orson Welles as the brooding Edward Rochester. Mr. Sutton appears with Joan Fontaine as Jane Eyre in their only significant scene together. Mr. Sutton's character is the compassionate Dr. Rivers, a character who was not present in the original novel.
