Hi! I just found your YT channel today! Thank you so much for the tutorial. You did a great work! I checked Dwerve too, and that trailer was so amazing! There seems to be a lot of work in it !! Keep it up! I am also making pixel art in addition to painting. I wish you much more success!

Great! I wonder if you could show us how to create proper tilesets, especially if I want to use autotiling. I always struggle with corners. Shading them is hard for me.

To commemorate surviving a vicious shelf attack, you should make a tutorial on how to draw battle damage and/or weathering, lol Huh, I wonder if there's a home improvement themed roguelike? This Old Dungeon? Fortress Flipper? Joking aside, glad you're OK. Just remember, safety first!

Hey bud, congrats on the new house! I've been watching your tutorials for the past month or so now and Im loving them so thank you for your insight. I too use Aseprite (and am relatively new to pixel art) and was wondering how do you create luminosity? From say a candle or fire?
@PeterMilko3 жыл бұрын
Make a new layer and use an alpha color. To make it look extra good add light reflection on objects around it. In games i do it in the game engine, ill make a video someday.

I'm using PixelEdit for my game, i bought both PixelEdit and Aseprite but i feel more confident and for me PixelEdit is way easier to use, tho theres a few fonctions i dont have for PixelEdit so sometimes i switch to the other one and vice versa haha

I love watching all your techniques. I've learned so much about pixel art from your videos. I can't recall, but do you use Pixel Edit to create your levels for Dwerve, or do you build everything tile by tile in Unity? Thanks for another fantastic tutorial!

Got any tips for staying in perspective? I can start drawing top-down stuff but by the end of it, the sprites look like their for a sides scroller. Especially with nature stuff. Do you use primitive shapes at first?
@PeterMilko2 жыл бұрын
Super simple tip is draw the top then the side for anything. Pretend everything is a box. that way you make sure the top is not too small causing it to look side view. Make sense?
