Come on guys. You had the privilege of hosting and gleaning alpha from one of the best DFS players in the world. One interviewer couldn't even be assed to learn his guest's name with some basic research, and the other spent 30 minutes arguing about sims because an elite level player is basically dismantling his product that he sells and telling him it's not necessary to win. Imagine interviewing Stephen Curry about how to play basketball, calling him Shaquille O'Neal, and arguing with him about how to shoot 3's because he says the kind of material your jersey is made of doesn't matter and you sell a proprietary polyester-cotton blend jersey that helps you shoot better 3's. That really is the only way I can metaphorically describe what happened here.

Example, someone that may spend 10-20 hours a week preparing or researching. What all is in that time? News, weather, usage, coaching schemes, time of season, record, projections, history of games together. There’s so much, where to begin on building a consistent routine every week and trying to trim the fat of wasted time

He said what most sharp people think but don’t say out loud. This is an unregulated area so yeah I 100% believe some of these ex- Wall Street guys that turn to DFS will try to grind their edge. Most DFS guys are also ex poker players where the whole objective is to gain an edge over your opponent. This is a zero sum game.

im a dfs, wall street. former poker player. there is definitely an edge. however that edge is stepped in probabilities. nothing is guaranteed. theres another factor that is severely underrated... luck. having said that there is a way to increase your luck. but thats a whole nother level and conversation. thanks for the video guys

it's interesting he said it's tougher for a new player - i guess if you're like brand new and there are so many more players w/good info than before, then yeah - but in general, for me, as someone who has gone in and out and is really trying to get better the last like three years, it's "easier" in the sense that there is so much more good content (and really also people who teach about how to think) than there used to be

The anti-sim people don't understand that a good sim (Read: A good field) is useful in every DFS process. Make lineups in whatever process you want, then use the sim to grade them. The sim doesn't replace any part of your existing process.

Youda wasn't the most interesting guest (not your fault), but he is right about accountability. It should be so easy to review each projection over a large enough sample to avoid variance and truly rank the best sites out there. Also true for ownership projections. I wish there was one podcast out there brave enough to do it.

It's nice to see someone talk about the fact that WATCHING GAMES MATTERS. The fact that it's been wholly dismissed over the last few years is such an amateur take from people talking like professional players. Very refreshing. And also - not trusting projections that you had nothing to do with is called "thinking." You can't say that "X site's projections are the best" - you have no IDEA what inputs they use.
