With stock map this is a bit of a waste. The reason why Leo Vince shows better numbers is because it's the "closest" to the oem exhaust. Spark an SC are more "straight-pipe", put an air filter and a custom map and you are near 130whp. I did. (obviously each dyno is a world...) Anyway, I like the content and appreciate the effort and all the info! ✌️✌️✌️
@PetroHead4 жыл бұрын
Is yours a 2020? I didn't know custom maps were available on 2020 models. And I also have a race filter ready to go on.
@davidreed2544 жыл бұрын
The 2020 is mappable. Tune ECU, PC5, and someone who knows how to adjust the AF tables on dyno. The bike runs extremely lean with a stock can to meet Euro 5 standards, especially in the lower rev range. With an aftermarket can where there is less restricted flow after eliminating the second CAT in the stock can, the air fuel mixture can become dangerously lean in lower rev ranges. Tune ECU recently allowed access to the AF table in rpm’s above 5000 but not below. You must incorporate the PC5 to adjust below. Going this route, with a decent tuner, a full system, air filter, Oxy Sen and SAS eliminated, 130hp at the wheel is very possible.
@PetroHead4 жыл бұрын
@@davidreed254 message me on IG, I have some questions to ask. I may go the tune route.
@showpuebla4 жыл бұрын
@@PetroHead yep, 2020. I meant a custom tune via a piggyback unit (Power Commander in my case) It's possible to modify the map via TUNEECU but is a real pain in the ass. Every change takes forever and the lowest RPM range is locked so you can have some fueling problems shutting itself off when decelerating to a stop for example. I only use TuneECU to disable O2 sensors, SAI, etc. Is not the cheapest way, but if you wanna go the all-in route (specially with a full exhaust), a Power Commander / Rapid Bike and a real custom tune makes the difference.

Did you reset the ecu before you stuck the exhaust on? If not you need to run the bike for at least 20 minutes for the ecu to adapt and pick up the change. If neither above then all you are doing is getting the same amount of air and fuel going through the bike the bike is not aware of the change

Good to see the comparisons but slip-ons alone make so little perceptible difference they're not worth the cost. You'll never notice a 1hp gain at peak and I reckon you'd have to be very perceptive to feel any change in torque delivery. Added to that they are stupid loud without the dB killers in. You have to get rid of the cat to release all the ponies as that is where they they are all corked up. Do a full system swap for a meaningful dyno run.
@cemalakgul76644 жыл бұрын
Very interesting... would be great if you showed the afr mixtures? I’m guessing it would be running lean. I know mine is.
@PetroHead4 жыл бұрын
Can I do that within the Winpep 7 dyno reader? If you show me how, I will put it on my next video(s)
@wernerxldata Жыл бұрын
Yup and that screws up the torque values, the already bad areas in the original map are just magnified without proper calibration. Torque graphs would have probably been better with the baffles in. So in the end you don't know anything after such a test. Might be fun to do but as a rating for these exhausts these figures mean nothing.
@michaelpan77373 жыл бұрын
I wonder if the straight shape of the SC Project came at a cost with the power and torque delivery. Exhaust gases are lazy, so I'd imagine a straighter design would benefit. And the difference in diameter isn't significant. SC Project does have the s-curve style exhaust. That might help the top end with a longer pipe.

It's not so much about getting peak HP, it's about smothing out those HP and TQ to be as linear and predictable when on the street or the track. Seeing those rough curves indicate there may be an issue with the A/F and could possibly create a very high EGT, high cylinder pressure or detonation. Which can impact depandbility and longevity.
@PetroHead3 жыл бұрын
This dyno was for curious eyes only (entertainment) and has nothing to do with performance or how the bike rides. Having done over 3500 miles and tons of track time, power is linear and strong.. the computer does a good job of ironing out what may look chaotic in the graphs.. hope it was entertaining to watch but don’t give the dyno results more credit than it deserves.

Typically you don't get power from installing a slip on especially when the ECU didn't have time to adjust with that being said you get power when you tune the ECU because the manufacturers have to get their bikes to pass Euro 4 or now Euro 5. A real tuner can see where the percentage opening of the throttle plates no matter how much you have the throttle open.
