Only Bethany and Captain Kwong didn't exist, Ellie and Riley got to explore that Halloween store a little bit more and there was a water gun fight between Ellie and Riley. Merry go round, Photobooth, lesbian kiss, creepy masks, glass table they danced on, the song they danced to, even the placement of the bite for both of them - same.

Im not gonna lie, I wasnt the biggest Joel fan in the game. He was VERY cold and detached (for obvious reasons) but in this series they have done so much to humanize him its amazing.

This is like my eight time seeing this show. I did not cry the first time I watched it, but every time I watch this episode, I get closer and closer to breaking. I legit was almost sobbing this time around. Bella and Storm do fucking phenomenal in this episode. The way they portrayed the DLC (This episode is based off of the DLC "Left Behind" was honestly flawless perfection in my eyes. I kind of liked the DLC more because I love playing as Ellie, and they could not have done a better job with this episode. God...Fucking perfection. And your reactions to everything were so funny and sweet! Wes, you were so right not to trust anything, but Chay you were also right to have at least a bit of hope. I know everyone did.

It's hard to see an adaption that's better than the game itself, especially with the DLC special. This gave me much more of a shock value (Even though I knew what was going to happen) But it still hurts, nonetheless. PS It feels weird seeing the show indirectly coming at you. Feel this episode was utterly incredible like most actually but this one came at a good time and gave ellie the depth she needs to progress in this medium (tv) this was a dlc from after the game finished and i remember quite vividly asking why this wasn't part of the main game rather than all the hints pertaining to Riley... It made sense i guess cause in yhe game universe it prolonged the experience and dare i say it.....made money.. glad yhey did this mid season...it corrected a few wrongs and imo that says a lot about what this story means to neil and the entire crew.
