Fun fact (I haven't finished the video so idk if you guys find this out later) but the actor playing James, the most prominent of David's men, is Troy Baker, who played Joel in the game! So cool to see him and Ashley Johnson (Ellie in the game) be part of this show! (I won't reveal Ashley's role just in case it is considered a spoiler to you guys, but she will be in the next episode). So excited/scared for the finale next week!!

ALSO if you haven’t, I highly recommend listening to the official HBO The Last of Us Podcast. It gives a lot of insight into the show vs. the game, how certain scenes were done, and why certain narrative decisions were made. Troy Baker (in-game Joel), Neil Druckmann (the game’s writer and co-creator/co-director), and Craig Mazin (showrunner) are very well spoken and give such insight into the show, I recommend for any and all TLOU fans 💕🍄

I know who she should be playing if I'm right and it's a part of the story I think a lot of fans have been waiting to see because we thought it might be a part in tlou 2. In the games, Joel & Ellie forgot to ask Tommy what the name of the horse they took was. So Ellie names it Callus. Now, throughout the university section of the game, Joel expresses his dislike of the name. Now, the character of James is played by Troy Baker who played Joel in the games. And James is the one who shoots Ellie's horse (we don't explicitly get its name in the show, but it is supposed to be Callus). After 10 years... Joel finally gets his revenge on Callus lol

Now ofc there is some makeup involved. But the cold is real. They were out in the Canadian weather in February. The lowest temperature was -17°C (1.4F) The actors even had some trouble in delivering their lines cuz of the cold. And that only aids the believability of the scenes cuz the characters are cold cuz the actors were cold.
