So if her dad really had her then whyyyy did she never call to check up on her daughter???? It's very insulting that's she thinks everyone else is just dumb enough to not question anything. A real mom would go back and check on her kid or call nonstop to see how she's doing. If she really thought she was OK with her dad why would she have an issue with telling the cops the truth 🤔

What disturbs me the most about this woman is that she had avenues of "getting rid" of her daughter that wasn't murder. She has a mother who was more than willing to take over, friends who obviously loved her daughter more than her, she had options, she could have literally just abandoned her daughter with her mother and gone on with her life, a lot of people do this. But she didn't because she's a narcissist's, she believed that a child was ruining her life and couldn't stand the idea of her daughter being alive. She had to punish the "thing" she believed was ruining her life. Narcissistic discard at its worse.

There was absolutely emotion in Casey's voice during the 911 phone call and jail visit videoes and phone calls.. Annoyance and contempt and anomosity. Yes I've said this myself no she wasn't emotionless she was annoyed and petulant. Angry that her mother was so upset and that she had to deal with all this. The fact the baby was gone for weeks and Casey never called for help or told a sould, ELECTRIC CHAIR! When I was that young my mom would panic screaming my name if I wondered an isle over from her while her head was turned. Gone for 31 days my mom would've gone full Rambo, knife in her teeth full on belt fed weapon to come for me or my sister especially if she knew where we were and who had us. I'm 35 and I'm still positive my mom would fight a pack of grizzly bears to get to me. Nothing about Casey Anthony says caring loving mother. It makes me so angry.

A huge contradiction I actually caught was Casey saying in her court case that it wasn’t her that made those internet searches. How it was a family computer that everybody used. Therefore those searches weren’t made by her. Yet, during her jail visit with her brother Lee, he is asking for her passwords for the computer and she gives it to him. He says he tried that and he is positive it didn’t work. She says “nobody else knows it and that it wouldn’t be any other password”. It’s crystal clear nobody else accessed Casey’s computer profile or MySpace account but her. She probably changed the passwords that day to her accounts and gave her brother her old password. She made those searches. No doubt about it!

If the fact that this woman let her daughter go “missing” for 31 days before telling the authorities doesn’t scream guilty, I don’t know what does. I cannot imagine having a child and not immediately reporting it as soon as something feels off. She deserves life in prison.

I am not a mother but I am a former kindergarten teacher. I remember the first field trip I went on who is my students I was reflexively counting them every 10 minutes because I worried about losing one of them. When you are taking care of children even if they aren't your own the want to keep them safe is something that I think almost every person feels. There were times I didn't see students for almost a week and I would get worried enough that I'd be calling home and I'd be talking to the school counselor about it. Not because I was trying to be a douchebag but because if you don't see a child for a week and they're supposed to be in your care but the family hasn't been calling them in you start to get worried. I think that there is something fundamentally wrong with Casey Anthony. I don't know if her father did abused her I don't know what the truth is because she lies so much but the one thing I know is that even children that aren't your own if you didn't see that child for 31 days the call would have been made at the latest 10 days from the moment they were missing.

Here's what bothers me: IF her father was guilty of these things, why isn't she angry at herself for allowing Caylee to be around him? Someone who was in the position that Casey wants us to believe she's in would blame themselves for what happened. But a guilty person will only focus on trying to make everyone else believe she has nothing to feel guilty for. THIS is the kind of thing that seperates the guilty from the innocent, the liars from the honest people.

In my opinion, Casey is far less free than she would be had she been convicted and sent to some supermax prison in Florida. Of course we want justice for caylee but it should be obvious that casey isn't free and will never be free. She is still the most hated woman in America. She is still needing to do these interviews, pushing yet more lies, because she is desperate to swing public opinion in her favour. A narcissist like her will be absolutely suffering, minute by minute with the very thought that people hate her. She cannot sit in any bar without getting awful looks and drinks thrown at her. Which doesn't sound like much but try foe a minute to put yourself in her shoes- how would you feel about it all? She hasn't had a good life. She's still needing to sleep her way into a job a home etc allegedly. I doubt it's the life she saw for herself and because she was exonerated she will never have paid for her crimes. If she had gone to prison she'd have been forgotten but now she has remained the most hated woman. The hatred is mostly because people feel she got away with it, i think we can be a little happy that she didn't get away with anything and she had definitely made a prison for herself in her own head. Needing to exert control and make this programme means she feels decidedly powerless and out of control... Mmm'excellent! All imo.

@@WakeyWakeyEggsandBakey While I agree with you somewhat, she still has a well-paying job and not everyone keeps up with true crime. Most people out in the wild probably wouldn't recognize her face-and I'm sure she hides her real name when she meets new people. Hell, I see stuff about her plenty, but I'm not sure I would recognize her face IRL. All you see of her in popular media is old photos and grainy videos. All she has to do is not look like she did when the crime happened and 99% of people won't recognize her face. Then she can lie or change her name and, boom...she's mostly off scott free. Not that many jobs do further background checks or even double check your resume outside of the references you provide. With the job Casey currently has, I'm sure she'll know better than anyone how to best hide what she did going forward.

I remember learning about this case in my high school forensics class back in 2014. The case was used an example of how easily a jury can be manipulated by crime shows, specifically CSI. Despite being science FICTION shows, people genuinely believed that what they saw on TV mirrored real life and that finding evidence was as easy as they made it out to be. My textbook explained how despite having a lot of evidence clearly showing the mom killed her daughter, the jury just didn’t think it was enough and wanted more because “they managed to get a ton of evidence on TV so why can’t you?” My textbook referred to this kind of things as the “CSI Effect” and it can easily ruin a jury’s ability to make a clear verdict because in their minds “I can’t believe they’re guilty unless I see forensic evidence.” No other evidence matters to them. And yes, forensic evidence is a very important asset in proving guilt or innocence, but it isn’t always there. You also have to consider how smart people can be at covering their tracks and making sure evidence isn’t left behind. You have to consider all possible evidence you’re given to make your own decision.

But what if he had a hand in it and hes much more powerful than we think. Why is no one questioniong how someone with this much compeling evidence still be found not guilty? And a high case that everyone is watching? Usually it’s because of power, connections and influence. What if her father sold the baby to his trafficking friends; theres so many children rings going on right now and many judges and police and leaders are part of it. Why did she seem like she was drugged out and just saying everything she was told to say and make herself seem like the only and main one to commit this crime in exchange of freedom. Many what ifs and people need to start opening their minds and look at ALL the possibilities and question everything. And even if im just reaching and none of this is true- he and her mothers stance and weird reactions and aiding in the hiding of the truth makes them guilty too. For me, I just can’t get over how she expects us to believe her father was holding her daughters wet, lifeless body and she just went “yup, all fine, you walk off with her.” When my daughter had a medical emergency and was unconscious, the paramedics strapped her to a stretcher and was about to move her to the ambulance and I was absolutely terrified, asking over and over where they were taking her, even though they kept reassuring me that I was coming with them. I wouldn’t let her out of my sight, and had to fight every fibre of my being to stop myself from laying bodily over her and tell them to get their hands off her. It was irrational, I know it was irrational, but in that moment every instinct was telling me to protect her when she was at her most vulnerable and get everyone else the heck away from her. I struggled to sit in the waiting area at the hospital, I needed to be with her, kept asking nurses what was happening. My daughter was 17 at this point, not a toddler. I’m saying all this because there wouldn’t have been a chance in heck that I’d have allowed my parent to scoop her up and just walk off with her; I had to battle all instincts to let medical professionals attend to her, people who are highly trained and were doing everything in their power to save her life.

We drove over and I was calling out the window it was winter and all of a sudden we heard a loud howl when we got close to the place they were just spotted recently and found them. Our doby was ok for the most part but my poor chow was hit by a car they think in the hips she lived but had dealt with a lot of pain afterwards where she got scared anytime anyone stepped near her when she was laying down and she was a rescue too that already had a hard life as a pup before we got her.

The timing of the murder was just after Casey's mom said she was going to try and get custody of her granddaughter. I feel like Casey was always jealous of any attention her daughter got unless the spotlight also shone on her as the doting parent. The idea that attention would be taken off Casey and that she'd be replaced in her parents affection and attention by her daughter made her vindictively take away the source of the attention. A "you don't get to play doting parents to my kid and leave me looking bad (and out of the spotlight)". I think she killed her out of a combination of jealousy and to lash out at her parents. Poor Caylee was incidental to Casey, she'd only ever been a prop to her. She spent 31 days celebrating her victory over her parents. Any sorrow she has now is because her prop is gone so she's lost all those future opportunities to play the role of the cool mom.

It doesn't have anything to do with saying it aloud, it's not about shame, it's about KZbin and it's contridctions. I heard something about AFC I believe we're the initials but I haven't checked it out. The person was really upset with what the channel was showing so I didn't want to look. It was under a video about CSA though.

I was so worried about watching this because I’ve seen so many people that I follow, actually sympathize and maybe even believe Casey. I was going to be so bummed if Swoop went that route too. But my girl came through! This is why I trust Swoop and her docs. She may not be the fastest in getting the info out, but that’s because she’s really dived into it and did ALL the research!

Hang on, during this time that Casey is claiming her dad had Caylee and she "believed she was fine" where the hell was her dad supposedly keeping Caylee? Like, did I miss that? Was she at her parents house? Where her mom also lives? Her mom who was in hysterics when she called the cops to report that Caylee was missing? That absolutely zero sense.

None of this makes sense. She “genuinely believed” Caylee was okay up until the day they found her but then she tells a story about how she knew Caylee was dead already from day one because she held her wet dead body in her arms? How tf did anyone at Peacock miss literally any of this after ANY kind of review? Tf is this garbage?

Hey Swoop, I know this is a bit random and might not have a lot to do with this video but I've been following you for a while now here on KZbin, and seeing you talk to people who have gone through a lot of difficult situations with all that kindness and empathy really gives me hope. Again, completely random and unrelated, but I wanted to tell you how much I love and admire you, not only as a creator but as a person.

If those stupid prosecutors hadn't pushed for the death penalty and just a lesser charge, maybe murder 1 or 2, i believe she would've been convicted and still be in prison today. Maybe 25 to life. They messed up. The jury didn't feel comfortable killing her, especially considering only 2 women have ever been executed in Florida. Being a woman saved her, smdh.
@mangalover0149

I actually understand why. The prosecution didn't have enough evidence to convince the jury beyond all reasonable doubt that Casey killed Caylee. If they did second degree murder, it may have stuck.

This. I think the jury should have had the opportunity to decide life in prison or a lesser degree. But she also had a seriously good lawyer. He probably could have gotten Casey acquitted no matter what kind of proof they had.

I think Casey used the power of positive thinking as well. I heard that she remained completely charming and upbeat. She never acted like anything was wrong. She cried when she heard Caylees body was found. She freaked out is what they said, I think she was in the nurses office and heard it over the TV. She got angry that time we heard she on the phone with her parents but otherwise she was chipper and I think that played some part in her acquittal as well.
@laurendearnley9595
@laurendearnley9595 Жыл бұрын
I believe one juror came forward and said they all hated Casey and believed she was involved, but that the prosection failed to meet the burden of proof under the law and demonstrate what EXACTLY happened. To this day, nobody knows exactly what happened to Caylee or even if she was murdered, or drowned or fell down the stairs. The jury couldn't find her guilty without any proof of how or when she died, or if it was intentional. Even though Casey, at best, obviously utterly failed to protect her daughter and lied about everything, they couldn't prove she actually intentionally and wilfully killed her.
@justjenn1427
@justjenn1427 Жыл бұрын
I think what really seals Casey's guilt in this for me is the fact that, even if this was an accident, which I do not believe, Casey seems to feel so offended that anyone would blame her. As a mother, I have felt guilty when my child stubbed their toes and were in pain. I can't imagine the guilt i would feel if this truly was a horrific accident. Casey is offended that people expect her to feel some sense of guilt. The guilt is normal to feel, her absence of this feeling and getting angry about it, that is abnormal. Honestly, she reminds me so much of Jodi Arias, it kind of makes me sick.

huge difference is that jodi killed an adult man who she had a genuinely turbulent relationship with (not that it's justified). caylee was a child. there is no scenario in which it is ok to be mad at a child for being a child. particularly your own child.

As the mother of a special needs now young adult its so hard for me to understand how anyone could be so cold when it all happened. I mention my son's issues because he was with sitters who I found medicated him comatose to handle him better and I was absolutely sickened, but in saying that I believe she was so selfish and careless that she first got pregnant then was so busy with her needs that she waited to long to even look into adoption. Then she wanted her freedom so bad she did whatever she did and then hoped she could just lie her way out of it like she always did. Btw omg I love u swoop and the kitties 😸 💖

She could've left little Caylee with her parents who were more than willing to care for her. Granted, we don't know how Caylee would've turned out but I can see George, AT LEAST, trying to be better than what he was with Casey. Maybe Lee would've been another figure too; he seems like the most sane member of the family.

My belief about what she "allegedly 🙄" did hasn't changed a bit. Based on how they found her remains and what we know about Casey and her priorities? I believe she wanted to go party one night, Caylee wouldn't stop bugging her, nobody would agree to watch her for her because they were CONSTANTLY taking care of her and thought they could benefit from some bonding, she finally snapped, started putting a piece of duct tape over her mouth, didn't come prepared with something to cut the piece, and in the heat of the moment, just decided to keep wrapping the tape all the way around her head, over her hair, back around and over her nose too, and her anger didn't dissipate fast enough to make her instantly try to undo what she'd already done. She took one look at the growing panic in her daughter's eyes, knew she couldn't watch because Casey *always* comes first, she grabbed one of her many shopping bags from nearby and placed it over her head, and then she left her alone in the room, and shut the door behind her, put her back to the door and waited until the terrible, awful sounds of Caylee's last moments of life stopped. That is what I ABSOLUTELY BELIEVE happened to end that sweet baby's short little life. Casey is so incredibly selfish and disgusting that as long as she didn't have to look at it happening, it might as well have NEVER happened. I pray and pray that one day there's going to be a break in the case out of nowhere, IRREFUTABLE evidence of some kind, giving the state more than enough reason to do a new trial that isn't double jeopardy. I hope it happens right when Casey has started to feel EXTRA cozy and comfortable in her life, believing she got away with it, and I hope she loses EVERYTHING. I also hope everyone that knew and loved Caylee will still be alive so they can finally see it happen. They both deserve justice.

The night before, the 15th that evening there was a huge fight between Cindy and Casey. Cindy was so fed up with the way Casey was acting that she actually choked her. It was known at the time. So I don't believe that a stressor happened that lead to Caylees death. I hope that she gave her the Xanax and when there was almost no breath coming out that that's when she wrapped her head in duct tape. At least I pray that Caylee was asleep, unconscious. Otherwise it's horrible, just so horrible. 💔

What I think is nuts, and interesting about Casey, is her complete inability to conceive where her lies/actions would end. The lying at universal until she could not lie anymore, other lies she held steadfast too like not being pregnant, having a job etc… it was all inevitably going to be discovered, but she never really seemed to have an endgame. The epitome of this personality trait, imo, is dumping precious Caylees body a block away, a few feet from the road, directly on the ground, surrounded with things connected to the Anthony home. What did she think would happen? Inevitably Caylee would be found. If she had his her body a bit better, she might have gotten away with…oh, wait. :/ But yeah, what was her endgame?

Exactly, everything about this case holds true to the pattern that Casey has always followed; lie to avoid responsibility, push off the consequences just far enough to not have to think about them, and if consequences eventually do come, no worries! Mom and dad will take care of it. That's been the pattern her entire life. Her parents trained her to never need to consider the end game because they never let her deal with her own consequences. Even after Cindy herself admitted "something is wrong" in her moment of extreme distress on the 911 call, she still eventually backtracked and protected her daughter in the end.

You are right and I think she just got to the point where she got addicted to the fame and thrives on all the attention. When I first heard of Kaylee, this was a very bizarre situation---baby gone for 31 days without the "mother" notifying police. Sadly, nowadays, these weird tragedies seem to be happening on a weekly basis. She has to make sure that people are still talking about HER. Plus of course, she's after the $$$. Profiting from the daughter that she killed. Now she's completely blaming her Father. Seeing how low she can go.

What amazes me about the lying is hiw far she was willing to take it. For example when she lied about her working at universal studios, she didnt only tell them she worked there, she brought the police there, walked in to the work place, waved to random people and said hello like she knew them, and walked the police through the whole building until the came to a dead end and then she turned around and admitted that she didn't work there after all. Thats insane!
