is this episode we realize that Baelish may be the main character. He set everything in motion. It triggered the Stark Lannister conflict.

I'm quite certain that Littlefinger either knew or strongly suspected that the Lanister's well, or mines rather, had run dry. As the Master of Coin he allowed Robert to empty the coffers, borrowed from the bank until they wouldn't lend them any more, then borrowed heavily from Tywin -- who felt the need to keep up appearances. Then he started an expensive war. All the while staying in good graces with whomever was on the throne, allowing him to marry into a wealthy & powerful family. ❤🧡💛💚💙💜

Brienne and Pod's relationship is a reflection of Brienne's great-grandfather, Duncan the Tall's relationship with his squire "Egg." Egg was short for Aegon, as in Targaryen, his true identity. HBO's upcoming new series, set for release this summer, will follow the adventures of Dunk and Egg.

In S2, Pycelle admitted to Tyrion that he had let Jon Arryn die for the benefit of the Lannisters. In S1E05, Varys told Ned Jon Arryn had been killed by "a poison that leaves no traces". How could he have known that since the poison left no traces? It means he knew about the plot before it happened and did not prevent it. He also spoke of Cersei's secret as if he'd known about it all along when he visited Ned in his cell. It appears the three men worked together. Varys the spy master knew the secret about Joffrey's parentage and knew Jon Arryn was about to find out. Pycelle possibly procured the poison and let Jon Arryn die. Littlefinger arranged for the poison to be given to the victim.

Lysa Arryn : my 10 yo son is young enough to be breastfed. Also Lysa Arryn : my 10 yo son is old enough to get married I also like the irony of Bran unknowingly revenge for Jaime, who crippled him

Just to recap the Lysa reveal: 1. Lysa poisoned her husband. 2. Lysa wrote the letter to her sister falsely blaming the Lannisters for her husband's death.

Working out the details, I think Jon Arryn did figure out that it was Jaime who had fathered Cersei's children, not Robert. He did visit the forge where Gendry was working, and did die saying "The seed is strong" (which Lysa thinks refers to her little darling Robin). But it was Petyr Baelish who arranged for him to discover this and led him to the details, so that his plan of framing the Lannisters, or Cersei in particular, could be credible. And I don't recall this point, but it's possible Jon Arryn was smarter than Ned Stark, and didn't choose to confront Cercei or Robert with what he'd discovered. Which is why Littlefinger had to resort to using Lysa.

I mean, when Jon Arryn found out about the secret, it was just a sordid secret. When Ned Stark found out about it, it was a sordid secret covered up with a murder, as he saw it. There is a difference in what the situation calls for.

In the books Bran describes his warning into Hodor, saying that he can sense Hodor still in there but terrified, like a whipped dog cowering in a corner. Hodor DEFINITELY does not dig the experience.

Your "funny English" plenty good, Miss Lexi. Köszönöm. (I'm afraid that despite all of my grandparents speaking the language, I didn't pick up any of it, except this one word while touring the country as an adult. Well, I guess fank and bundash kenye, and I obviously can't spell them.) For what it's worth, I don't think I ever picked up on Locke, his connection to the Boltons or his purpose at the Wall.

I definately forgot why Locke was at the Wall on my first watch. Never made sense to me. On my (I think) third rewatch it finally clicked 😅 Too many other things were going on and his was not the most memorable storyline for me.

The show usually did a good job reminding people of this kind of stuff but man, they dropped the ball on this one. I definitely didn't realize it on my first watch either and it's taken many many re-watches for me to pick up on what I think were the little hints they were dropping

Yep, Lysa killed her husband at Petyr's request, so they could marry each other instead. But we know Petyr...

Of those who were put forward, he was the best. Or the least bad; I'm not sure I can actually say he was good. Decent, though.

Well - Robyn is actually not age-inappropriate for Sansa. She's only 3 years older than him...and he is not exactly a bad man either, he's only mentally behind and physically weak. Not exactly what you'd describe usually as a horrible person.
@omolisa3783
@omolisa3783 17 күн бұрын
When we're introduced to him, he is excited to see a person being thrown through the moon door. Perhaps he isn't mentally mature enough to understand death, but that is certainly a red-flag and the adults around him should've been alarmed by that behaviour and work to change it. Otherwise, he is just going to grow up into a sociopath.
@asthajindal5275
@asthajindal5275 17 күн бұрын
He may not have the cruelty of a man, but he has the callousness of a child; not a horrible person, but a privileged person with a big head and no personal discipline or sense of morality beyond the faintest notions of family pride. Not what one looks for in a husband by a stretch.
@Hauke-ph5ui
@Hauke-ph5ui 17 күн бұрын
@@asthajindal5275 Actually the strongest argument against a marriage between Sansa and Robyn is that they are cousins. As far as privilege goes - read the books and you'll learn who the most superficial spoiled brat in Westeros is (Sansa - her representation in the show is much nicer than her representation in the books; her written version needs a looong time before she does start to learn to behave decent).
