I'm really impressed with both interior /exterior, peugeot really pushing the standard in terms of looks .If that had a bmw badge, it wouldn't look out of place .

It's nice we're still seeing non-suv vehicles on the market. The lift back was a great choice for cargo flexibility. I like it, but I'm Canadian and so can't even entertain buying one.

Love this one. Bought one last year as a second / weekend car, does the job really well. And it’s a super good looking car! My main car is VW Touareg ; Good car, but too clunky to drive on my own…….!

Love how it looks, but the engines are a bit too small. Mazda 3 saloon is also stunning and it's skyactive X will give you 180 horsepower although slightly smaller in size It would be on my cars to double check list for sure however, next time I'm on the market for a car

A good review but I would ho for the estate version. The estate has a rear wiper that this appears to be missing.

Before I bought my new car the Corolla sport tourer I did consider one of these but as I was planning to move away from diesel it was a no because the 1.2 as you observed wouldn't pull you out of bed and the plug in hybrids of which there are 2 are too expensive to buy and insure, even the diesel was a much higher group than it needs to be plus my main reason for not going diesel was having to deal with adblue as my now sold Kadjar didn't need it and having had to put it into the work vans when I drove them it was a pain in the arse that I didn't want to have to deal with in my own private car. It's not a big shock either that EV sales have declined because they're too expensive to buy and insure even in the north where I live and we don't get a grant for them anymore either so I can see why sales have tailed off as the only folk who can afford EVs are those who get them as a company car.

Keep an eye out for the next Mazda 6.........there are internet whispers that it might come with their new in-line 6 , 3.3ltr diesel engine. I'm the same as you.........I need Diesel.

Sadly the 508 R8 brand has so many issues with this model, stop start issues it stops working then customers are made to part with 200 to 300 pounds for new batteries. Out of line bodywork panels which causes drag knocking down fuel economy. The 1.5 Diesel is low powered so would not suggest making purchase of this cc. Paint issues on the 508 brand, this is because Peugeot have cut corners by NOT applying as many costs of paint & lacquer on this brand so stone chip damages are imminent & Peugeot UK walk away from this issue, I opened five claims & Peugeot closed them all down without resolving any of the concerns. So I had to turn to the Motor Ombudsman, who eventually upheld my claim & the dealership Peugeot Truscott's Exeter had to reimburse me just over 3k so I could sort the vehicle out.

People are probably buying their last diesel car, while they are available and affordable. Lots of chatter about new and used luxury diesel cars being sold off cheap has probably also helped sales. For how much longer will you be able to drive these cars into town centres though? I'd give it a couple of years.

The 408 may be the 508's biggest rival as its almost as big and more on trend. Having had Octavias (which are bland)and peugeots. I would have the Peugeot every time. And yes, the Peugeot has been more reliable

Looks like it I have to admit ,while it looks old fashioned it's the easiest cruise control I have ever used (my 2019 berlingo work van has it) and is certainly easier to use than our 2024 hyundai kona.

In a leading UK car magazine readers voted the C4 the best and most reliable car. Recent Power survey voted the P 2008 the most reliable car. Another recent survey out C and P in the top third of reliable car brands above BMW, Merc, Audi, LR. French reputation seems to stem from some past issues. I've had 2 P 2008s and they've both been fantastic.

@@alexdobrea15 Exactly 1.5 diesel much too gutless ( with an 8 speed auto!!!) This would be a much better car with a strong 2 litre diesel. I actually have driven the 1.5 diesel in many platforms NO TORQUE very unpleasant in a large vehicle
