Peugeot Boxer Fan Kit Replacement

In this video I change the radiator fan kit as the one currently fitted does not work.
I have since had the air-conditioning gas replaced which has now activated the new fan. I have now however discovered that the condenser has a minor leak.

Fantastic thanks for that as have to do mine, Question? The flat screwdriver what lugs were you pushing in ? They were the the wring loom lug connectors or the housing fan lugs pls? . Did you have to gèt underneath your van at all as mine is too low and have a bad back, albeit I was a mechanic and now electrician.

I used a flat blade screwdriver to release the fan housing lugs. I may also have used one to release the loom lug connectors.

You need to replace the 40 amp large blade fuse. This is under the passenger headlight.

Hi Ian, great video, I'm going to be fitting new fan assembly this weekend. Btw when you said the LH fan is the AC is the one on the drivers side?

Thanks for sharing the video. Good work. A fan like yours has stopped working for me and I intend to do the same job as you. I have seen that the fans that you have removed, one has 7 blades and the other has 9 and the one that you have put both have 7 blades. Have you had any problems for this reason? What is the reference of the piece that you have put new? Thanks again

So is the bottom slow fan the AC ? 'Cos I am using my Ac ok as long as I top up with water on the radiator till My new Fan comes, or I just keep replacing fuses to get the slow fan to work on a slight wobble till I turn ign off lol. Need the air con as am in Spain, till my unit comes.

The bottom one is for the A/C. Basically my A/C fan motor packed up, which is one of the reasons it was not working. The other reason it was not working was that I had a hole in the A/C condenser which let out all of the refrigerant. I have since changed the condenser.

Hi, did you sort issue with the fan? I had problem with radiator and it has been replaced because of leak. After a few miles just noticed that left hand fan not working just the rh side bottom one. Temperature reach middle point on dash. Please help. Thanks

Yes, along with the fan failure, I had a hole in the condenser and had lost all of the refrigerant. I have since changed the condenser which I have made a video about and had it re-gassed. All is now working fully. Thanks for your interest in the video.

But that would need the van being jacked up, this is better so anyone can Do it without .
