There are a number of people who put informative videos relating to Berlingo / Partner maintenance on You Tube. This one is right up there with the best. Totally honest, all problems met head on and solved. Exactly what is needed. I hope you are able to do the same sort of video for other jobs on this vehicle. Thank you.

I had the same crap with my partner van . rusty clip in the hub . What I did was put the whole hub in a bucket of brick acid and it ate away at the rust . It was still a pain in the arse to get out but there was no rust left on it . Dangerous and smelly but cheap to do . I used it to repair rust damage on the back light circuit and now it looks like new . Good work .

I don’t do any mechanical work, but I enjoyed watching. You are a very good mechanic, I have a friend who does all my mechanical work for me and admire the way you can do this . All the best Paul

Brilliant - all the better for not having a ludicrous thumping rock back track. What's more, it's done in layman terminology in an understandable accent - sound like a Nottingham lad. Thanks a real big help.

Well done. I did mine last year (same side on similar van, but with less a less professional system!. you make it look easier, considering doing it at home , and NO smearing!! Much better than me. got to do the other side of my van now. Given me renewed confidence.

Really good and realistic video 👌 I luckily wasn't the first to replace the bearing on my car, so I had a bit easier job with the circlip behind the bearing🙂

Well done for showing all the snags. What was the mileage. See Kevin Williams doing a Berlingo clutch as much of this work is covered up to point of bearing pulling. Great clear vid.

Mine has done150,000. It's amazing that these cars are galvanized dipped. They are ideal candidates for EV conversion. So far bearings holding out. There is so much to learn from KZbin that Haynes doesn't cover. Thanks to all you guys.

In my 307 bearing last 20 miles, I used FAG and other good brands,changed 4 times, pressed and torqued properly, what causes bearing to go bad after few miles?

If the hub is worn from the first bearing spinning internally this would give issues, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠

A little off topic . Clutch bearing is very noisey hard to select 2nd gear at what cost do you charge to do the clutch kit replacement on a c1 2012 .

In a garage you will pay around £350 for a clutch replacement, thanks for the great comments 👍🏻👍🏻🛠

How many miles had the van done out of interest? Also, that impact driver looks good, but I'd be too scared of roudning rusty bolts off with it?

Maybe a slide hammer for pulling the hub out would have made it easier. And also if you used the puller bolt the other way round there would be no need for spacers, jus a thought. Great video shows what can go wrong to make the jab harder!

The kit does not fall apart as you say...it is a bearing puller not a hub puller....for that you will need a slide hammer....

You could have used your "puller kit" to loosend that klip. It's a pain in the a** too loosend it. I used sveral hours, but then I thougt "why not press it in with the puller kit"? it took me 5 minutes to do it. I was a bit releaved that it came so easy, and quite pissed off about the time I've wasted on it. But hey now I know...

Great video aaanton11 - thanks! I'm about to do the same fix on my Partner. I have a question though regarding the bearing itself. I have bought a bearing that resembles the one you're installing. However, in other videos (like this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g5vYZJiOgcinmtk) they're using a bearing which apparently has a magnetic encoder (the dark strip) that is used by the ABS sensor. So my question is: Does your ABS work the way it should even though there's no magnetic encoder on it? Thanks again! :)
@aaanton112 жыл бұрын
This van didn't have abs on it, so no issues Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
