From what I read, not all engine oil works well for diesel engine with DPF system especially when it comes to regeneration process. Is there any standard reference for end user to look for when buying?

why did you change whole additive tank ? can you just refill it with new fluid?

Hi there The lack of fluid was not the only issue here, the pump itself had failed and although it seems like the pump can be physically removed from the tank it was not available to purchase separately so it worked out handiest to change the whole tank.

Troquei a correia do motor,bomba d’água e tensores,4 dias depois apareceu uma informação no painel que dizia, Defeito do motor: solicite a reparação do veículo. Fui no mecânico e o mesmo falou que o defeito é na bomba eolys. Meu carro é um peugeout 308 gasóleo europeu. A dúvida é será que realmente o defeito é disso ou pq ele trocou a correia e deu algum problema na troca,algum mecânico poderia me tirar essa dúvida?

I changed the engine belt, water pump and tensioners, 4 days later an information appeared on the panel that said, Engine defect: request the vehicle repair. I went to the mechanic and he said that the defect is in the eolys pump. My car is a Peugeot 308 European diesel. The question is is that the defect is really that or because he changed the belt and gave some problem in the change, could some mechanic take this doubt away from me? ========================== Hi there It is unlikely that the belt getitng changed will cause you to see an eolys fault, the two are not linked. If you can read the fault codes yourself to verify that the fault is indeed the eolys issue. It may just be unfortunate that the car has developed this fault around the same time.
