You've really become an inspiration to me! I'm at a VERY tough time in my life. I work in Finance (25+ years now). The daily stress of the markets, regulations, fees assessed to me by my Broker/Dealer, dealing with clients, dealing with various companies (in today's world is a nightmare), etc. etc. is REALLY taking a toll on me! I absolutely love reselling but often think there's not enough money in it; then I see the #'s that you put-up and it's very motivating! I think it's time to start a new chapter in my life...something has to change! Anyway, great vids...keep em' coming!👍

You can do it! I was in the Finance & Insurance Business from a young age and it is definitely a BURN OUT Business! If you can be successful in that World, you will crush it Reselling. Start doing a ton of research and watching as many different Resellers on KZbin as you can. Start by selling just what you have in your House. We all have plenty of Items, Clothing, Shoes etc that we don’t need. Then take the money from those sales and flip it into Thrifting & Selling used items. Do that over and over. (This is a great way to start if you don’t want to use your own money, which is highly recommended) you will then know if Reselling is something you want to do Full Time. Good Luck!!🍀

I was in a similar situation a few years ago. I continued to work the job that I had been at for 32 years. I learned reselling by way of watching KZbin on my days off for a year and a half before ever listing my first item. I began to source and the last 2 years at the job I grew to hate and while I had the big paying job. I created a money mountain and a year and a half ago I got to cold turkey quit that b@&$#! I have never been happier. It’s not easy I would never lie and say it is. But it is most certainly worth it. Every resellers story is different but wanted to share with you my story. Best wishes and remember your mental and physical health come first and I finally took back control of mine. Be well

@@PatriotGirl1776 - thank you so much!!! Are you a full-time reseller? Are you making a living? Yes, I am sooooooo burned-out...the industry will crush you mentally and psychologically. I am so sick & tired of chasing clients, doing endless amounts of paperwork, and being treated like complete crap by my broker-dealer. They are feeing me out of the business. I pay over $1,200 a month and just basic fees....even more each quarter!

Love your informative content. Ever been Bible shamed? I was at an estate sale where they knew I intended to resell the Bible and everything else I found there. The mother of the estate sale company was there and said out loud that the word of God shall be free.

I've gotten a few eye balls looking at me, but I explain why. LOCATION. Some people are not near anyplace easy to buy the bible they need. If the word was free, who would print the bibles? Makes no sense. "THE WORD OF GOD IS FREE" The bible itself has to be made and therefore someone has the expense of producing it. Thanks for watching, just keep selling them.

Mike, took your advice on Bibles about six months ago. Thanks, it was a great tip and has brought me nice $$. Rarely do I have to pay over $1 for a Bible. I share your opinion, some people do not have access to stores where they can find bibles. Sellers like you on ebay provide a service to these people.

@@goldenstatepicker he paid up for it. Purchase brand new early this year. Limited edition. He was planing to keep it, but then decided to sell it. I think after fee and postage he made a little over a $1000. I personally don't like these big value items. He send a putter earlier this year to Las Vegas in America and the guy said he didn't receivers it and open the claim, it was $1500 and lucky I used my business post account and paid insurance. Turns out it was waiting for him to collect. I don't know, if he was trying to get a refund and after collect the putter. It was sitting at postal centre for three weeks. My son a pretty new seller.

Did you go to those shows at the cow palace where they would also sell items like as seen on TV? I would go with my dad and his friends. That's where I first discovered those wooden rubber band guns. They would always go for the car stereo equipment but I remember one time there was a salsa maker that everybody got.

Hi Mike, Great video! I didn't quite understand the local pick-up deal. You delivered the item to the buyer and then scanned the qr code or entered the buyer's number after the delivery as a substitute for a tracking number?

They came to me. The buyer has a QR CODE that eBay gives them. I open my app and scan the code and it is then a confirmed pick up by the buyer.

Sometimes things will just sell out of the blue after sitting there for ages. I sold 3 gigantic Masonic Bibles in 2012 for about $50 each. I sold them at an antique mall where I, at the time, had 3 booths. I've often wished I still had them so I could sell them on EBay, but your post made me feel better, that maybe I wouldn't have sold them online. Besides, they were really big and would've cost a pretty penny to mail them. And I am a firm believer in fate/karma so I figured the 3 Masonic Bibles went where they were supposed to go. And yours will too! When the right buyer comes along, poof! They will be gone. I have a lot of local college yearbooks listed and thought I was never going to sell the first one and then one day, I got a sale for 3 of them at once! And the guy gave me amazingly wonderful feedback. So, it was just time. Timothy, what is your Ebay seller's ID? I've been selling on Ebay for 25 years. Some of us could possibly look at your listings and tell you what, if anything, that might help you increase your sales. You might not feel comfortable posting your seller's ID, and that's fine too. If it makes you feel more comfortable, my seller ID is jonibranscome. So I'll post mine if you post yours. And it might be against KZbin rules for me to post that and if it is, someone tell me, and I'll take it down when I get up in the morning. But seriously, I think your Bibles will sell when it's time. Sucks to have to store big books though.

I enjoy your videos very much. I have been selling Bibles for a while. I have a few I am uncomfortable with listing/selling. The Family History pages in back have entries - some many other just a few. These Bibles are mostly from the mid 1950’s so some of the individuals births listed could still be alive. My thought is to neatly block out details with a magic marker. I don’t think cutting out the page (pages) is an option. Any thoughts about this? Thank you GG

Of course, each reseller does things differently. The Bible is a historical piece to a collector. Names (family history) in the Bible tell a story. The collector wants this information to remain. I would not be blacking names or tearing out pages. What you do is document in the seller's description that the family history has inscriptions. If you take a picture, you don't take a picture of the names..zero in on one name and take a picture of the last three letters...to maintain confidentiality. If the Bible is going to a regular buyer, document that previous owner wrote family history inscription and take a picture of 3 letters... When the buyer purchases the Bible, he will tear out the family page or white out/blackened names. That is how I do things...because the original owners donated the Bible with the family information inscribed in the book. (My job is to inform the prospective buyer of the defects.)

Sometimes people want the lineage to remain. A historical record. Maybe Civlil War etc. So, I let the buyer make that decision.
