This is the best tutorial I've found for a specific square stone I had that i've been searching for a solution for, for years. My stone was a 14mm so instead of 5 I did 7 beads on each side. however I will try another one with 9. I ended up doing the same number of rows, even though its slightly larger. Sorry if my spelling isn;t perfect, my eyesight is having a problem temporarily

Beautiful as always! Sometimes what I do when using a jump ring for a bail, is to put the jump ring through the bead first, then sew the ring/bead unit on during construction. It usually works, could be b/c a needle is thin and more manueverable.

Thanks so much for posting! Very beautiful, wondering if you know if this would work on a 14mm Swarovski square? If so, how many delicas would I need to use instead?
@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry3 жыл бұрын
You’re welcome 😉 I think you could use the 14mm in this configuration. You could add another round so you have 5 corner Delicas going diagonally. This will make the pocket larger but the space for the bezel will be the same. If you want the space around the face of the stone larger add 2 main color Delicas. Keep the2 in the corners.
@khatzl3 жыл бұрын

These are beautiful and I'm definitely going to make them. You used a soldered closed earwire. Can I ask where you got them? I searched and can't find a source. I always have trouble with the thread sliding out eventually.
@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry3 жыл бұрын
I ordered them fro Panda Hall US website. I didn’t realize they were soldered. I’ll find the number for you and put it in the description box under the video.
@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry3 жыл бұрын
My earwire was accidentally soldered shut lol - I checked the package and the others are open! Bummer - I was really excited. I looked on Etsy and there are a few shops that have soldered earwires. Type “soldered ear wires” in the Etsy search bar. Hope you find them!

You are so very talented and a great teacher! I have 10 inch cushions in my stash. Any ideas on how to adapt the number of beads?
@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry3 жыл бұрын
Thank you 🙏 Try 3 Delicas (main color) in between the 2 Corner colors as your first round. It will make the opening smaller. I haven’t tried it but it seems like it will work. Let me know.
@terimadison18253 жыл бұрын
Will try that tonight! Thank you
@terimadison18253 жыл бұрын
Hello! I tried the 3 delicas and it worked out I felt like it lost the square/cushion "feel". So I did it with 5 delicas and 15/0 in the center just to make sure it was secure and it turned out great. I will send a picture soon. Thank you for sharing your gift!

I love this, but I am having a hard time knowing when you step up. Do you have a video on something like that? What a great idea to sew those together.
@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry3 жыл бұрын
Have you tried to follow my hands exactly as you bead? It looks very complicated when watching, but if you go along with me, you'll see the step up. Stepping up is just moving the thread to the top of the round (after you have completed the previous round) so you can add more beads. You must do this when working in the round. If you get to a point where you can't see the step up, stop and take a picture and message it to Bronzepony Facebook page and I'll take a look. Make sure its clear and big enough for me to see. Don't worry we'll get you there 😀
