Razmir ring is gained by not taking Razmir mask when talking to Razmir, you can have only one out of those two items. There's a tome in dlc 6 dungeon that gives +4 inherit bonus to all stats, an adamantium vorpal +5 longsword that has 15% on each attack to roll twice and take better roll. You can also get robe of runes if you use dispel on a statue near a talking vendor, gives +4 enchantment bonus to int, free action to recall any spell two times per day, and when recalling spell you get a 2 round +2 bonus to spell DC and touch spell AB

Fun fact with Razmir Mask: It breaks Sword Saint. The Free Action Touch Spell does a full round action attack, followed by a second full round action attack in your "main turn".

There are a few new items available in the Defender's Heart in Act I. Off the top of my head, the bartender guy sells a 'bottomless mug' that gives you 5 daily uses of alcohol and buffs drunken master's damage by 1d8 if I remember correctly, and there's a ring on the cleric vendor that adds +1 DC to any spell cast while bloodraging (at least I believe that one is new; I haven't personally seen it before).

You start seeing pearls of power mixed in with the scrolls that appeared with the Update shortly before the DLC came out. Easy to miss because it's only a few of the lowest level ones but the costs on one or two of them stand out a bit because of how high they are.

I love this game, it's currently my most played game on Steam. I love your guides as well. I don't usually follow them 1 for 1 (I'm very bad for enjoying things that are suboptimal. I love the Azata path, I can't help but choose it 8/10 times!), but they're very educational and help to point me in the right direction when I'm not sure what might be fun. I had those Pearls available before this DLC released from the patch that took place before it. I most noticed them because up to like 3 or 4 appear in like chapter 1 or 2 but they are fairly expensive that early on so they stuck out to me.

@@rafaszmuda669 I haven't used one in WotR just yet but if they function like the ones in table top then they are daily usage... kind of like a wizards bonded item but purely for certain spell levels based upon their power. But usable by any caster.

@@rafaszmuda669 they work just like arcane object bond, you just have to have them equipped to your belt. And since you can buy 3 of each spell level, the prepared spellcasters end up with more spells than the spontaneous casters, if you have more money than god.

the new dagger is probably the chosen weapon slot for evocation casters, since you can run both it and the dagger you get in the beggining of the game that buffs evocation dc +1, unlike with quartstaffs.

If you get a level in titan fighter , you can equip 2 staffs, though I'm not sure if it's worth loosing a level in your spellcasting class

Edge of Force is amazing now. It's +2 damage per dice for Force spells, which was decent before, but overshadowed by fire spells - except now you can cast Intensified Battering Blasts for 10d6 damage per blast. Lich can easily fire 7 blasts per Cast, so that's 70 dice of damage before all your metamagic effects etc. With an Intensified bolstered empowered maximiced Battering blast you can do 1050 damage. (More with crits). And with Razmir mask you can fire 3 of those each turn. Even as soon as lv 10 you can use Intensified bolstered Battering blasts with Edge of Force for 20d6+80 damage.

The staff that increases caster level is a joy for my Battering Blast focused Lich\Angel build. Is it silly? Yes. but I love how unlike Hellfire Rey, Battering blast does not have a cap on CL.

Another niche but significant nerf: shifter's fury no longer allows for full BAB progression for both a weapon attack and a natural weapon. That screws your demon rageshaper build, as well as a few legend builds I was considering.

The personal buffs are decent, though other than sense vitals, they lose a lot of value with the capstone. The summons are good when you get them, but scale very poorly. The damage abilities, even when empowered and bolstered at level 20, does 30d4+60 (135 damage on average), which for a standard action is far too low. Its a bit higher than gold dragon breath damage but with a much lower DC and smaller AOE and the cone isn't party friendly. The capstone is very heavily nerfed by the existence of profane ascension. I would say its best for legend where, unless you really care about inevitable excess, you effectively do not get profane ascension, and where the loss of feats doesn't hurt nearly so much as you get so many extra. You might even take 20 levels of this and titanfighter to still be able to dual wield whilst dumping dex. Also, a 6 level shifter dip for full BAB progression on your bite attack (if this still works), will allow 8 bite attacks a round in addition to normal weapon attacks, and if you started out as trickster, you can get 1 or 2 critical feats for your bite, in addition to your weapon, before going legend. That will make resetting blood points much more reliable, as well as just being a sizeable damage increase. Outsize of legend, I honestly find it pretty hard to justify dropping 10 slayer feats, including things like opportunist and the weapon style feats ignoring dex requirements, for what will by endgame be sense vitals, +2 profane bonus to AC and damage and a bite attack (if you dont get this from somewhere else), as well as +2 profane bonus to intelligence and +6 to dex, assuming you get profane ascension and strength and intelligence are your 1st and 2nd highest stats respectively. edit: just checked, shifters fury no longer allows full bab progression for a natural and a weapon attack.

As for Azata deceiver, I expect you have worked out the strongest interaction, but combining single target spells with chain lightening and using the latter's targeting, and combining this with zippy magic is the highlight here. You can combo it with disintegrate, phantasmal killer (requiring 4 saves with favourable magic) or greater dispel for impressive results. Lategame, resetting fabricate/chronomancy with 2nd wind as well as your entire spellbook with heroes never surrender will also be very good. That said, demon, assuming aspect of the colloxus works with fused spells, is actually more powerful, even if much more resource limited. The fact that 6th level spells have uncapped scaling with caster level, combined with up to +5 caster level and + 5 damage per dice, as well as massive boosts to spell DC and lategame, the same effect as favourable magic, will mean that two casts per round with the aforementioned chain lightening combos, whilst it will burn through your resources much faster, will be a lot stronger than the Azata. I would still definitely prefer Azata though. If you care about rank 10, Devil with hells authority, switching from azata, can get the best of both worlds.

You don't like Ice Guard? It sounds pretty good to me. I would have thought you'd love that armor, it pretty much does free damage to anyone who attacks you. All you have to do is not get hit, which for light armor users is a pretty easy thing to accomplish. Sure, one on one you'll likely kill your enemy before the charges go off, but if you're using a dodge-tank, he's going to be attacked by several enemies at once. While you're killing one enemy, the other enemies are literally damaging themselves... it's the Pathfinder version of the Diablo Thorn-build Barbarian. Hell, if you're doing a solo run, this armor sounds like a must-have! To each his own, I guess... if you don't like it, you don't like it. Not every item is for everyone. Just seems like you might be writing off the usefulness of Ice Guard a bit too quickly.

Some notable item nerfs: - Improved crit does not scale with gear, which means the inevitable excess belt of perfection (which is added to playful darkness if you kill inevitable darkness on unfair) and the ring for kineticists both lose 1 threat range. The gravesinger and peacemaker axes both lose 2 threat range, meaning this weapons basically function like falcatas, having an equivalent threat range and multiplier after improved critical. The enchantment properties of these weapons are not very good, so these weapon types are no longer bis for any build. A 15-20 x2 multiplier is always going to be better. Scimitars also have much better enchantments, and kukris will now be a better option for dual wielders (come to that, you are probably better off taking the -2 AB hit and using scimitars over hand axes, unless you are finessing). - There was an obscure interaction between the vicous weapon property and geomancer, that would allow geomancer to trigger off every single attack with a vicious weapon. For eldritch knight builds, particularly merged liches with vampiric blade, this was very powerful, as it usually meant 9d6 aoe damage extra per attack with no save and some other debuff and liches could easily drain back all the health cost. This bug has now been fixed. - Bane of spirit is a swift not a free action. This sucks, particularly for classes that regularly use free actions, but also if you relied on it to overcome damage immunities for the party, most notably something like swarm immunities. It can only buff one character at a time now. - Double dipping off damage procs have purportedly been nerfed, though I havent tested these yet. If true, this will weaken things like ring of pyromania, milanders insult and treacherous flame. It will also be a very large nerf to death rush combined with mythic charge combined with pounce.

@@PostalSK I am not sure what you mean by it working, but yes, the weapon still functions. However, improved critical does not stack with the 18-20 range multiplicatively anymore. It only increases the range by 1, as with other hand axes, meaning its effectively a 19-20 x3 weapon in terms of how it stacks up against the threat range and multipliers of other weapons after improved critical. That is straightforwardly inferior to and 18-20 x2 threat range weapon, particularly when its otherwise just a +2 weapon with no other significant bonuses.

@@notalefty999 If you start with a base 18-20 threat range it should change it to 15-20 now. A 19-20 should turn into a 17-20. and a plain 20 should turn into a 19-20. I haven't looked if this is fully correct in the game or not yet but this is how it should be. What it has stopped doing is stacking with various other things it never should have like keen (or any other ability that is an equivalent). Which it was apparantly doing before. There is also still a balance between having a larger range and a higher crit multiplier. The one for the most part equals out to the other overall, with some minor variance... The damage would have actually been more skewed in the 15-20 ranges favor under the old way of things because the crit range could get large enough to practically be considering crit damage as normal damage after a certain point.

@@anthonygurskas4850 No, this is specifically about items with bonus threat range and the fact that are now additive rather than multiplicative with improved crit. For example, the flawless belt of perfection and the sigil of destruction added 1 to threat range base, increasing to 2 if you had improved crit in the relevant weapon type. A Kineticist using the sigil with improved crit in kinetic blast would go from 19-20 to 17-20. With the belt it would then increase to 15-20. Now each item will only increase the threat range by 1 even with improved critical. Grave singer with improved critical used to go from 18-20 to 15-20, matching weapons like rapiers or kukris. But because the base weapon only has a 20 threat, improved critical will now only increase its threat range to 17-20. Threat range absolutely remains king when it comes to weapon types. But because gravesinger no longer offers the best threat range and has otherwise poor enchantment features, you are better off with something like a scimitar or fauchard, with better threat ranges and better enchants.

Hey man, I was just thinking. So there is the serpentine sorcerer bloodline, and its cap ability is "You can cause damage to any ability score." If, with the mithic ability Ascended Bloodline you pick it, and choose int, and make a half daecent unarmed build, could you kill enemies in seconds, by dropping their int to 0?

@@cRPGBro I tried it on my Bloodseeker, but it doesn't do the extra attack. It does show the animation, but no attack is registered. I logged a bug for it. The mask does work with Shifter class. Gonna wait for the bug to be fixed I think before going further in game. Shame. I was having a lot of fun with the Bloodseeker archetype.

21:12 oh there are DEFINITELY level 8~9 Pearls of Power in the game. I bought them in Act 5 while selling stuffs to Arsinoe IIRC. The 2 slots Pearls are capped at level 5? But there are up to level 9 Pearl of Power but you get them so late that it wouldnt really matter anyways so... mehhh.

I really do not like how item power is so inflated in this expansion. They should have created items that are interesing some way, not super OP for everyone and made the already easiest chapter even more easy. There could have been more intems for conviniance instead of just pure power, or items that require two spellcasters to combinde spells for bettewr results etc... +8srt and con is just boring. (Yes I am still using them)
