This is fantastic stuff! Gotta luvit. I am an old geek, retired programmer in my mid 70s now, and what you have done here reminds me so much of stuff I'd have done many years back. All the figuring, affects, getting math for as much precision as possible. Spreadsheets, data. LOL. Wonderful. Best part...it has helped me a lot too with this game. Thanks so much! :)

@@GamerAbility Just started 2k21 this week, only $15 on the PS store. I did not like TGC 2019, very weird I thought. I miss Links and Links LS :) great golf sim way back when. Do you have vids on chipping? I am finding consistency with that very difficult. Which shot, how much will it roll etc. Frustrating. Got any vids on pitching/chipping/sand ?

I'm glad someone finally made this video for people. I took a lot of time grinding on my own to figure it out, but man it's really helpful when you remember all the calculations for each shot. That's when this game really becomes something else. Good stuff m8. -Johnny MN

How do I cut down the rolls when I approach the green , my golf ball keeps rolling off the green, what are the calculations?

So shotshaping is how you can add backspin to your shot. You have to shut shaping options, loft and attacking angle (spin on this game). On controller hold down LB for shotshaping and the use left stick to change loft(down adds more loft which will take off distance) right stick adds backspin when moved down and does not have a big affect on distance. I have a tutorial specifically on shotshaping if you want to learn more. You can check it out in the full pga 2k21 tutorial playlist. Hope this helps!

I like your videos, very helpful, Thanks. Question: The flag showing the distance and elevation; Why does the flag move up and down when adjusting a shot ?

I am glad they are helpful! That flag moving up and down is actually just a graphical change that happens when you adjust the aim of your shot. I have tested it and it actually does not correlate to any thing in the game. At first glance I thought it may correlate with ball lie angle, but quickly I found out this was not the case.

You’re welcome! I’m glad it was helpful! My next video on the PGA 2k21 will release tomorrow and it will be looking specifically at elevations and lie percentages. I will put my calculations in the descriptions. I have been collecting a lot of data on wind (greater than 1000 shots on different wind conditions), and am in the process of averaging and updating this numbers. This video will be coming soon, and will include more wind calculations.

@@GamerAbility really appreciate all the work. It looks like you play master difficulty, is that right? I'm on Pro at the moment and struggling to keep my swing completely centre. I've moved to the left stick, and stopped using pincer grip after your advice, so relearning really, but I was just wondering if you have any tips for a complete centre swing. I'm slightly right of the white line, half in half out, although sometimes perfect centre. Thanks

@@anthonyknowles6681 Thank you! I Play with some of the master settings and switch back between pro swing difficulty and master swing difficulty. I am trying to work to using master all the time for tgctours tournaments. The main tip I have to work on hitting it straighter is to watch your thumb on some shots and practice swings, and going through my practice routine. Just to clarify, when you say multiply 0.5 to a tailspin shot, but the chart says a driver comes out at 1.24 and woods come out at 0.95. Should I be following the chart for each club in a given scenario or the generic number for each wind? If I have it correct: Tailwind = 0.5 Cross tailwind = 0.8 Headwind = 1.5 Cross headwind = ??? Thanks in advance! Ive watched these videos all day and made my own flow charts 😂 and I’m officially subscribed

So this video was actually made prior to calculating all the wind data! So in this video the numbers I used are not the most accurate numbers. Use the numbers from the charts and spreadsheet, they are the most accurate! I am glad the videos have been helpful! I love that you have made flowcharts! So awesome!
